According to the Cincy AD, Jones had not heard from UT until after he had got home from visiting Colorado.

Dear Coach Fulmer,

I am sorry for complaining about 8-1O wins a year. I'm really sorry for saying losing to Wyoming was the worst loss in Tennessee history. I take it all back. You were right, we were wrong. Please remove the curse.

This. I love Tennessee and never thought it would come to this point, but if at all possible do not give the university or AD another dime. With Cheek and Hart running the show, Tennessee is an impostor right now. This isn't the University many of us have loved for years. Cheek and Hart have destroyed it. If there is no money coming in, a change will have to come. It is 100% obvious now that the fans, the players, even the coaches don't matter. I actually feel sorry for Butch Jones. He is walking into an absolute toxic mess. If you love your University, step back, watch it implode, and then we can build it back to former glory. Very sad day, lowest point in Tennessee history.

The more I look into this the more I think Dave Hart is completely innocent.

This smells of Cheek handcuffing Hart.

Guys, how is Butch as a recruiter? I know his first two stops weren't big schools but curious how he is on the recruiting trail.

Anything read on a message board should be taken with a grain of salt. That's just standard Internet protocol.

I don't really understand getting mad at people who post their "inside" information when it turns out wrong. Even getting mad at Yay4bray who smelled a lot like troll seems silly. It's a message board, trolls happen. Get a big grinder of rock salt and move on. Heck, even if the person posting believes what they're posting with 100% accuracy, the reader doesn't know where the information is coming from. Just because the poster trusts his source, it doesn't mean I would if I knew the source myself.

Even guys with something of a track record like LWS and Skeeter should have their information doled out with salt packets. It's just the nature of Internet and "sources" and what the information being shared is about. Most of the time it's about recruiting. Kids change their minds or even lie to coaches just so they don't have to say difficult things to people they may like or want to like them.

No need to get mad. And sorry for the book.

All right, let's put this "at least he wants the job" nonsense to bed. Hell, I want the job and I'll do it for $500K and all the gameday swag I can wear. I can communicate and sell the program with the best of 'em.

Big freaking deal though, because I'm not qualified for anything besides running a Madden team. Jones is an upgrade from coaching a Madden game team, but is he ready to face off against Richt, Muschamp, Saban, Spurrier and even Franklin every freaking year, on the field and in recruits' living rooms? THAT'S the criteria! Wanting the damned job isn't enough, people!

Just because this guys name is not Gruden doesn't mean he's a failure. I wanted JG like everyone else in here but damn give the guy a chance. He's won his conf 4 out of 6 years (& I don't care what conf it is) as a HC. I'll support any coach that will give their all for Tennessee until he gives me a reason not to & the rest of Volnation should do the same.

No, this isn't the lowest point in UT history. The lowest point will come next season when we go 4-8 and finish outside the top 30 in recruiting.

In three years he's landed 0 five-star recruits, 3 four-star recruits, and Cincy's current 2013 recruits are all 3 stars or less.
