Fact: Last half of 70's thru 80's = Average just over 7 Wins per season.

Fact: 90's thru early 00's = Incredible

Fact: Last decade = Average less than 7 Wins per season.

Spin it however you like.

Doesn't matter how we spin it. You will never come close to achieving what we have. You guys are kidding yourself if you think you can walk into Neyland and beat us. WKU fans thought the same last year, joke was on them.

Keep comparing USU to Oregon. That's like comparing a jackass to a racing horse.

Keep the good wives, divorce the bad ones... That's what I always say.

Look, I know you Vols want to get in a few jabs, but you are going to have to come up with something a little more relevant than possums and polygamy.

Utah supporting polygamy is actually far older than the concept of rednecks or incest in the south, so we have more history to back up our crappy jokes against you guys with.

I'm confused. Does this guy know about the Sugar vols and the teams in that era, or do they just not exist somehow?

Doesn't Utah support gay marriage too? So does that mean a man can have more than one husband?

What's better than one wife? Five wives!

I kind of liked this idea. But then two things dampened that aspiration.

1. I saw what happened to Ragnar Lothbrok last night.
2. The modern day court system's anti-male bias.

As for the USU, all I know is that a huge bulk of Las Vegas casino workers are Mormon. Might explain the Vegas line for the game.

We should just end this thread here

Tennessee 6 National Championships

Utah St 0 National Championships

Nuff said

I went to a frat party at USU once and spiked the punch. All the Mormons got super pissed off when they realized they'd been drinking caffeinated coca-cola instead of decaf all night.

Perhaps I missed it, but I don't think I have seen any Utah State fans really comparing USU to Oregon. They are stupid if they are.

nobody has. at all. I made a post on USU's board comparing the UT fan attitude before playing Oregon and the UT fan attitude before playing USU (since I am an alumnus of both schools and was on this board for all three games). Somehow, that has turned into "all the usu fans keep comparing themselves to oregon"

UT was a very average SEC team when I was growing up in the late 70's and 80's.

Phenomenal in the 90's.

Back to very average the last decade.

I think you already are "back" to your historical average of the past 40 years.

In our "mediocre years" we went to 13 bowl games. Utah State went to 0. I'm sorry for you people. I'll take mediocrity over that!

UT is 33-40 over the past 6 seasons.

I'm not really sure how much history really matters beyond that. I think y'all can dig out, but it takes some time.

UT has had some great runs, but there have also been some periods when it would be hard to call UT more than an average SEC team.

In the past 3 years, you have won 4 conference games and yet every year you were just 1 game away from being bowl eligible.

The system is set in in your favor as a member of the SEC. Your have the money and power. You have the TV deal.

I expect that UT will climb back to a higher level, but right now 33-40 over the past 6 years is where you are at.

That's VN Standard Operating Procedure....misread something, get bent out of shape, and keep repeating until it becomes "fact".

you're the expert on mediocre, so I'll take your word for it :mf_surrender:

How, though? We're talking about a pretty small stretch of time in a school's history.

College football is cyclical. Michigan, Texas, and USC haven't been dominant lately, but are you going to assume that's the rule, opposed to the exception?

TROLOLOLOLOLOL.

We've been mediocre for 6 years. You all have been irrelevant your whole career. Also, Most of us Knew what would happen at Oregon. WKU fans came here stating the same nonsense y'all did. Hell, They even have a better ball coach. Still left Neyland with a L.

Two things that will never...ever...be said about Utah State.

Talk is cheap. Trash talk is, well, trash.

I'm fairly confident that both your trash talking, and USU's football record, will take a serious hit on August 30th.

Of course, you can always spout off afterwards...but 0-1 is 0-1, regardless of how you talk about it.

Go Vols.

Set in our favor?

Makes sense..... playing #6 Georgia, #9 S. Carolina, #1 Bama, #4 Auburn, #10 Mizzou (all rankings at the time we played them) sure is a prime position to be in for success.

Look flicker, we go through this song and dance every year. I know you think your team is ready for an SEC team but the season always starts with someone just like you comming in here talking smack just to watch year team not even be a road bump worth remembering for our opening OOC game (whether were down or not) before we go on to play a real big boy schedule. Then the poster(s), you in this case, are never heard from again. Be the difference. Be the one who saves themselves the embarrassment. leave now.

Hey, ficklez, I'll have you to know that selective reading is an art form among certain VN regulars. Kind of like a religious conservative who reads the Biblical term "repent" as "re-pint" as an excuse to have another round of six packs when he has already had 12. It's a miracle, you know. :)
