*OFFICIAL* March Madness Game Discussion Thread

Officials are letting Villanova be very physical so far.

The key is to match their physicality if we have to play them. Don't jump at their shooters and keep your feet on the ground. They got so many open looks the 1st game. And if I remember Jay Wright had this smug attitude about him. I'd love to send them packing. Because our post players are slow I think that's another game where our size may not come into play.

They didn’t call it on the guy who cleanly blocked the shot, it was their guard hammering him below the waist before it got blocked.
Either way 3 seconds left, you don’t make that call with 3 seconds left and the game tied. Same thing that has happened with refs to Tennessee in crucial situations. Hold the whistle and let it go to OT. Let the best team win.

I’m with you 99% of the time on that at the end of games, trust me. In this case I would be livid if that was Tennessee and they didn’t call the foul. We’ll agree to disagree on this particular call.

I wouldn’t be livid. I expect the refs to swallow the whistle in a tied ball game.

If it's a foul with 10 minutes left, it's a foul with 3 seconds left.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not with this mindset at all. If it's a foul a minute into the game, it should be a foul with a minute left. Whether you're an official that calls a lot of fouls or few fouls, do it consistently for 40 minutes

And he was hit on the arm as he shot. Announcers pointed it out.
What about that missed free throw that Miami swatted out of bounds with 2 minutes left? Refs sure didn’t see them touch it but they magically see a call in the lane with 3 seconds left. Hold the whistle and let it go to OT.
