*OFFICIAL* March Madness Game Discussion Thread

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not with this mindset at all. If it's a foul a minute into the game, it should be a foul with a minute left. Whether you're an official that calls a lot of fouls or few fouls, do it consistently for 40 minutes
Not me. Game on the line, I don’t want the refs calling anything under 30 seconds. Let them play.

When the game isn't hanging in the balance? Yes, that's a foul. Do you call it with 3 seconds left in a tie game? That's the question here. Was it game appropriate?

This makes no sense to me....you're saying it's a foul based on the time of the game? How does that work?

If you don’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign, no cars on the road, no cameras, no police around, do you get a ticket?

I think it's true, that officials will allow more contact to occur at the end of a close game. They don't usually want to have a game end at the free throw line.

Then where are you drawing the line? You think a clear "common" foul shouldn't be called?
Everyone knows what a common foul is vs an intentional or flagrant foul. You can look it up if you want but everyone knows the difference between them.

I'm asking you, where's the line? So as long as it isn't deemed intentional, you're fine with a defender fouling the s*** out of a shooter with 3 second left?

You realize there are hard fouls that aren't intentional, right?

Don’t know if it’s appropriate or not. But the guy got hit on the body and the arm and they called it. It goes in the books as a foul. We can debate it but it doesn’t matter. Game over. To me, a foul is a foul no matter when it occurs.

Let it happen to us and see how we feel. Oh wait it’s already happened twice against Michigan and Purdue. You think those fouls should’ve been called or the refs should have let the plays go on?
I dont think a couple of fouls determine the outcome of the game. We didn't play well in either of those games.

What Giannis did was tackle the dude. That’s not a common foul and everyone knows it. It’s not that hard to comprehend. COMMON fouls. Did USC have a common foul or intentional foul. Pretty clear it was common.

I guarantee you, watch CBB for more than a week, and you will see that even the refs often don't know the difference
