*OFFICIAL* March Madness Game Discussion Thread

A hard common foul, don’t call it under 30 seconds with the game on the line.
Ok, I'll take that as a "Yes". Why though? Why should a team get the advantage or disadvantage of an obvious foul being not called with 25 seconds left but not with 35 seconds left? (And before you say thats bad faith, its not. If you insist the calls should be different based on time, then you have to draw that line somewhere)

It's not bad faith at all.

It’s not an advantage one way or the other. The objective is to keep refs from deciding games whenever the game is on the line.

This was just yesterday. Potential game tying shot.

And actually Iowa was down 3 so that changes things. The game isn’t tied so I wouldn’t have an issue calling a foul that situation. You aren’t preventing a team from winning, and you aren’t giving away a free win to the other team. Like I said in the beginning, if the game is tied, I’m not giving a team the win on a foul call.

Huh? Of course not calling an obvious foul on the defending team benefits them and disadvantages the other

Then you just gave the other team an advantage because they know they can hack a shooter and you aren't calling it.

This is even worse. Score and time are considered? This is getting wackier
