(And before you say thats bad faith, its not. If you insist the calls should be different based on time, then you have to draw that line somewhere)

It’s not an advantage one way or the other. The objective is to keep refs from deciding games whenever the game is on the line.

And actually Iowa was down 3 so that changes things. The game isn’t tied so I wouldn’t have an issue calling a foul that situation. You aren’t preventing a team from winning, and you aren’t giving away a free win to the other team. Like I said in the beginning, if the game is tied, I’m not giving a team the win on a foul call.
