Common theme in the close 2nd round games. The refs are making calls against the teams that are peeing their pants. It’s almost better to dig yourself a little hole and the refs will help you get to the finish line.

I hate watching Duke play. They get every call. Seriously when is the last time you saw Duke get called for something controversial. They aren't even particularly talented or deep this year.

Terrible play by MSU no doubt but their stupidity doesn’t negate calling the game fairly and by the book. Officiating in this tournament has been atrocious. The technical on the Illinois’ dunk takes the cake though.

They got their favored team and favored conference highlighted on CBS without the distraction of other games. Mission accomplished.

I agree that officiating has been bad overall in the tournament, the Illinois tech, UNC’s elbow ejection (yes, that’s me saying that). Tonight it probably was the wrong call, but people need stop pretending that’s why Duke won. Duke won because Jeremy Roach played the game of his life tonight, and Trevor Keels found his game again.

The tournament should be pushed back one week so that the P-5s that played into the weekend in their conference tournaments are allowed to recover. But TV controls the NCAA and CBS isn’t going to allow the NCAAT to conflict with Masters golf.
