The internets told me that Richt's buyout is 2 mil per year remaining on his contract...so 8 mil total. That's pretty tough.

Georgia could have a tough time winning 6 games total with the 8 games they have left.

Only 1 gimme that I can see

Colorado
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
Florida
Idaho State
Auburn
Ga Tech
They will beat Colorado, Vandy and Idaho State without question. They should also beat us and be favored against Kentucky.

I'd think 3-5 will be their result in conference. It might come down to GA Tech, they may finish .500. 7-5 is the most likely finish though.

Too expensive and too difficult to fire Richt this year unless they do something like lose the rest of their conference games, but they'll have to produce next year or he'll be gone.

I mean that would be pretty dumb to re-sign a declining coach to a fat multi year deal and fire him the next year.

It's not a meltdown in Knoxville.....what can you expect, we have zero depth....give it a couple years

Texas losing at home to a 1-2 UCLA team yesterday. The powers that be in Austin my help Mack Brown decide to retire sooner rather than later. Muschamp would stay then.

I think Richt has AT LEAST a few years left. Georgia has had the benefit of seeing the Phil Fulmer fall-out. Sometimes you gotta decide whether the grass is really greener. There's a lot of talk on here about "getting back to 9-3" seasons. Well, that's where we were under Fulmer. Georgia isn't blind. They see that under Richt they may never made a NC game and may only win an SEC championship birth once every 5 years or so. If that's not good enough for Georgia fans, they risk being where we are now.

If Richt is pushe dout, Muschamp ain't going anywhere. He's going to stay at Texas. It's the richest program in the country, and he's getting compensated very nicely to wait his turn. I can see Smart going, but really don't look at that as any different than Dooley coming here. Is Kirby Smart that sexy of a recruiter that he's really going to put Ga. back on the map?

I wouldn't be surprised to see their new AD make his stamp on the program with the football program. He'll start getting some heat from fans after this weekend, and the arrest last night couldn't have come at a worse time.

My guess is Richt will Randy Sanders Bobo this week, take on the play calling himself, hire a new OC this Winter, and pray for the best. He'd be wise to not bring a guy in with a varying offensive scheme than what they're running now. Grantham hasn't really won the fan base over with switching to the 3-4. Time isn't really on Richts side anymore.... Growing pains with a new OC will end him.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

Richt gets fired and Derrick Dooley accepts offer to follow in his daddy's footsteps as UGA head coach.

I don't understand how anyone could think we could beat UGA this year. Did you see us play yesterday?

These are probable wins for them IMO:

Colorado; Tennessee; Vandy; Idaho State; Ga Tech

These are probable losses:

UF; Auburn

Toss up is Kentucky.

First off, why would UGA go after a coach with a losing record as a HC?

2nd, DD has already stated that he doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps. This has been stated about 500 times in the last week.

I think this is what will happen if they can make it to 7-8 wins. If they make a bowl and lose I don't see how he stays.

I wouldn't say Georgia Tech is a probable win.
