Okay, but Georgia looks as bad as I've ever seen them. Green will be a big boost, but I still don't see that offense being very good.

As Murray gains experience you will see them get better on offense. His OC will be different next year regardless who the HC is. That doesn't change this year though. Look for them to try to help him through October till he starts to really grasp the speed of the game.

RT @GentryEstes247: One of the most polite calls on Mark Richt's radio show tonight was from a Tennessee fan. I'm serious.

They will beat Colorado, Vandy and Idaho State without question. They should also beat us and be favored against Kentucky.

I'd think 3-5 will be their result in conference. It might come down to GA Tech, they may finish .500. 7-5 is the most likely finish though.

Too expensive and too difficult to fire Richt this year unless they do something like lose the rest of their conference games, but they'll have to produce next year or he'll be gone.

without question, huh?

I stand by my comment that Richt has got to let Bobo go. Why do you call a play that is so high risk at that stage in the game, when you are behind? They got their star wide receiver back and still lost. They are now 1-4 (0-3), losing 4 in a row.

Richt needs to do some PR for himself, fire Bobo, call the plays himself the rest of the season, and hope you get a chance to hire a new OC in the off season.

Personally, if I was the AD, I would clean house. I'm new, I want my stamp on the program. I fire Richt at seasons end and hire someone new. Bring new life into the program... but that is just me.

If UGA loses to Tennessee, all bets are off.

Richt has already managed to get past going a full calendar year without an SEC east win.

Don't see how they make it to a bowl at this point. Losses to UF and AU are imminent, and I don't see them sweeping the rest of their schedule.

Ajvol, I'm frankly stunned that they lost to Colorado. So are most others.

It's just one of those seasons where you just think they couldn't fall any further, and they surprise you.

Very reminiscent of our '05 team.

Wouldn't be a bit surprised if Richt demotes Bobo and starts calling plays this week.

If he really is Fulmer light he would put all the blame on Bobo.

Yep.

I don't really think that there is a need for a new OC. I'm not sure if Richt hasn't used innovation in recent years, or perhaps it is the blocking schemes, I can't pinpoint where the downfall started.

I don't catch many Georgia games but Richt was a big name in the 90s/early 2000s with some high-scoring offenses. Of course the talent never ran out at FSU -- very similar to Spurrier schematically and talent wise.

Spurrier's downfall happened when people begin to figure out his blocking schemes, and that started in the NFL.

I can't pinpoint where the downfall started.

Personally, I think it started when Bobo was promoted from QB coach to OC/QB coach. That was in 06, and since then they've lost 17 games (including the 4 so far this season). Since him taking over, they have won the east once, in '07. They have not played for the SEC championship since '05.

Might not seem that bad until you think about the talent they've had since '06. 3 top 5 classes since 2006. Their development of talent has been less than stellar, much like we experienced with Fulmer.

I think if Richt wants another year to turn this around, he needs to get rid of Bobo to appease the fans. Holding on to him will only make things worse in Athens.

Most of the UGA fans I know wanted Richt to fire Martinez and Bobo last season. I was at the Vanderbilt UGA game last season in Nashville and there were more boos from the UGA fans, you would've thought the game was being played in Athens....

Athens feeling effects of Georgia's losing streak | ajc.com

Article from the AJC about the economic downturn that downtown Athens has experienced from the UGA meltdown this season. However, the true reason i post this is for a quote that i quite literally fell out of my chair laughing at.

"God has got to be mad at Coach [Mark] Richt or something because he's such a good Christian man … there's got be a reason because the way they are losing games just doesn't make sense," said Josh Boatright, 27, general manager of the Cotton Club restaurant and bar on Broad Street.

Wow. Just wow.

Ps- vol fans packing out Sanford this weekend could have the same result Bama fans packing out Neyland did in 08. Would love to see that.
