i'll be completely honest here. Hal Morris sticks out like a sore thumb. I don't see how anyone saw his name coming.

I'd bet that the MLBPA is going to absolutely go nuts about players' names being in the report based on hearsay.

what damages that case GA is that most players were unwilling to speak with Mitchell. If you've got nothing to hide then talk. I think this list is only the ones that could easily be found. Latino players and players with Latin connections? Please, they can probably get whatever they want.

if i were on the list, I would think i would just keep my mouth shut and not do anything else to make myself look like an idiot. I'm not even sure how it can be considered libel with how it's written. Mitchell is just reporting what was told to him.

it depends if you are innocent or not. a strong argument could be made that any person put on this list could have significantly less earnings in the future (either in baseball or after) because they were mentioned. slander that results in lost wages is certainly something you can sue over.

that's true. But they would have to sue the Met's batboy or whoever else it was the gave the false information. From what i've skimmed through, he has sources and names them.

the MLB created the report. they will be the first name on any lawsuit. it could be argued that they shouldn't have come forward with names without a second source.

my point though is that it is fact. MLB/Mitchell are reporting what they were told. What they are reporting is fact. They aren't reporting that Tejada took steroids, they are reporting that according to this information and this person, Tejada received HGH and steroids and had them delivered to wherever. If they just make up that Tejada received steroids, there would be a case against MLB. Unless the mets batboy never said a word, or this guy didn't say this, or these records were made up, MLB/Mitchell have nothing to worry about.

I don't see how you can prove that MLB was making this stuff up or how they could know it wasn't true. This report was not used to take blame away from MLB administration, it was used to get everything out in the open. Everyone in baseball has egg on their face right now, not just the players mentioned.

i'd have to say the biggest surprise of the names named on the list would have to be Albert Belle. i mean, i just don't believe it.

A lot of the guys on the list should ask for refunds,

Benito Santiago is a name that made sense, but I just never payed enough attention to him to care

Nook Logan is or was an outfielder in the Washington Nationals system. He wasn't very big if anything I would compare him to a Kenny Lofton.

He can run like a deer but I think he hits just right above the Mendoza line.
