Here is a story I hope y'all can get a giggle out of it. Yorkvol, in another thread, mentioned Ft. Huachuca and it triggered a memory.

In Feb 86, we had just finished up 10 grueling days in the desert surrounding that God forsaken place, Huachuka. Before going back to DM in Tucson, we had to clean everything. Our security forces, 4 in each HMMWV, decided to take them through the Army's vehicle cleaning station.

The automated cleaning station sprayed
high pressure water, 360° around the vehicles. Being first generation HMMWV's, they weren't, in any sense of the word, water tight.

SF drove in, the water kicked on, and it looked like 4 cats trying to escape a clothes washing machine and couldn't.

Sorry for posting it here, didn't know where else it would fit. (Twss)

The project originally was about 15' wide, 20' deep. 700' long.

After some set backs and new core samples pulled-

85' wide 45' deep 1000' long.

Was to be completed in 3 months. Now it's set to be completed by next summer.
