I consider my job to be pretty dangerous. (steelworker) However, I have some guys over cutting down some trees around the house. The guy in the bucket truck was a good 75 feet up and somehow rather forcefully came out of the bucket. The harness he was wearing saved his life.
I'll take hot steel over tree cutter every day of the week.
Wear your harnesses guys.
My wife's family did/does logging here in the area. Her papaw(hilarious guy) still does that in his 70's now. Two years ago he had a tree fall on his knee and broke it. He took the chainsaw cut the log of him while he was pinned and walked down the mountain. That is the definition of a hard ass.
He's a great recruiter, hard worker and seems to be a good guy. That said, he and his staff are extremely weak in actual coaching ability. We have a bottom 3 staff when it comes to schematics and adjustments. Great recruiting, poor coaching; it is what it is. Our talent has to overcome our coaching disadvantage to win. Tough to do in this conference.
Well said.
This is my impression of Davis so far as well. The guy is obviously a great recruiter and representative of the school, but I haven't been very impressed with his game day decision making, nor with his idea to bring in Debord at OC. I don't think he's on any kind of hotseat for the foreseeable future, but if he doesn't really show something extremely positive with his squad this year.. the honeymoon might be over for most of the fanbase.
