I was hoping it was Ohio State..

At least two people died Saturday morning after a car careened into a crowd attending a college homecoming parade in Stillwater, Oklahoma, according to reports. Local police responding to reports of multiple injuries after the vehicle smashed into parade bystanders as part of Oklahoma State University’s homecoming festivities received reports of a fatality, but had not confirmed it.

"There was a major accident and we don't have any further information at this time," a spokesperson at the Stillwater Police Department told International Business Times.

The incident that also hit and injured a motorcyclist, according to local media outlet News On 6, reportedly occurred at the final stage of the parade near Hall of Fame Avenue and Main Street, according to reports on social media. The car that hit the crowd was apparently not part of the parade procession.

The vehicle reportedly ran over several parade goers. At least one person reported on social media that the car was going well above the speed limit.

Three helicopters were reportedly dispatched to the scene to assist the emergency responders already there.

These close 4th quarter losses are aging me. What is the formula for converting Vol Fan age years compared to regular human years?

I was totally calm cool and collected until Bama's game winning drive. I let a few unsavory syllables come out rather loudly and Mrs. Pickens didn't approve. Something about the 8 and 11 year old hearing what I said or something like that.....

TN played with Bama today. I did not think they had a chance going into this game. Bama is a loaded team at most positions. Our 2 freshmen OL players outplayed a very talented DL most of the day.

In the end Bama did what a championship team is suppose to do, they found a way to win.

I don't see TN losing another game this year, if they play like that did against GA and Bama.

Go Vols

Same here. Just too hard to endure the disappointment of these games without sailor'n up the room.

Yep. They played well. Had a chance to win. Nothing to be ashamed of. Just stings more when it is so close.

It didn't just sting. Forget UF. Alabama is our ****ing enemy. Our primary goal as a program should be to dismantle their program. Make those *******s hate football. Everything else will fall in place.

You might be right. But I think next year is the tipping point. I think he needs to win the East next year. What win/loss record would you think is acceptable?

I agree next year is Butch's year. It should be a 10 win season and playing in the SECCG.

I have been down on Butch this season and think he deserved it early on. TN should have won the OK and FL games. I think those games were lost due to bad coaching. I am impressed that with some rough loses this team appears to keep getting better and playing harder. It would have been easy for this group to give up, they have not. I give credit to Butch for that.

7-0 or 6-1 right now. Leaning towards the 7-0 with the talent this team has shown.

I've had enough of "next year." We've been dealing with "next year" for long enough and the pot is about to boil over. And I don't care if we run the table the remainder of the schedule. This team is...was entirely capable of taking it all the way to the CG and beyond.

Hey yo, guys..
I was as critical of Butch as anyone on this site before. No ****, though...anybody who can find themmselves in the position he was in and manage to get this team to play like they did against UGA and then Bama today...dude is doing something right.

I still ain't sold on the man, but he certainly felt a little more like family today, than any coach we've had in awhile has.

Arkansas dominated us, man.
We played Bama even. Only thing I would've changed was faking a field goal, or just punting.

And why did Arkansas dominate us? How did we blow the lead in that game? Why did we take our foot off the gas with Oklahoma and blow that lead? Why didn't we rip the heart out of Florida and end ten years of defeat by blowing that lead?

We did play Bama even. And I'm proud of those boys for putting up a fight like they did. But the difference is a good coach would have found a way to snatch victory from defeat. And that just didn't happen.

I'm tired of being the "best 3-3 team." Or now probably the "best team with a losing record." And I'm tired of hearing how young we are or how long it takes to grow a football team. There are plenty of coaches out there that would salivate over the talent at our disposal. And they wouldn't use the same excuses over and over and over again.
