This season has been such a helter skelter.

There have been times where there was more than legitimate concern for this coaching staff and team. Then, there have been times which instill confidence in this team and coaching staff.

I do think we need to run the table in a convincing manner (including a bowl win) to keep the positive vibes going into next year.

That's ridiculous.

Getting blown out/not being competitive in games is very different than being very competitive and coming up short.

Using that logic, there is no difference in our lost to Bama and Miami's 58-0 lost to Clemson.

When you have time, please list all the bowl games for moral victorys.

Memphis to Chattanooga.

I need advice. Google says go to Nashville then head south...

For any of you that have made the trip, is there another way? Maybe quicker?

Thanks

Not really. There is a quicker way to Atlanta from Memphis but Memphis to Chattanooga is pretty clear cut.

Take a plane for getting there quicker. I-40 to Nashville and then I-24 south to Nooga. Enjoy the ride.

You are in Jackson right?

If I leave Wednesday afternoon I think I'm going to drive to Jackson and get a hotel room.

Any places to avoid?

Are you taking the South Jackson Bypass exit off I-40? It's the 2nd exit once you come into Jackson off I-40.

How far of a ride is it? Google shows 4 1/2 hours give or take. Shows the same from fort smith to Memphis which I know I can do in 3 1/2.

From Jackson the drive to Nashville is 2 hrs (1:45). From Nashville to Nooga is 2 hrs. It's about 300 miles one way from Jackson to Chattanooga.

Ok. Thank you.

I'll ease in to the throttle and make some good time. The interstate is in good shape once I pass Memphis if I remember correctly.

Moral Victories are a myth. A team wins or loses period.

Compare the 2015 team to teams of the last 10 years. This team although suffering some tough loses is the best Tennessee Volunteers football team since the early 2000's. This program has improved each year during the Butch Jones tenure. 2016 is year 4 for Butch. That is when TN should be competing for the SEC and a spot in the playoffs. Anything less than 10 wins in 2016 will be a bad year.

I agree Gramps...... And one thing I find very promising is the fact that THEY ARE A VERY YOUNG TEAM....lots of guys are getting valuable playing time and another recruiting class or two will bolster the depth. These guys are starting to believe in each other.

Yup.Be careful though. There's been some wrecks around Haywood County (Brownsville,TN.) which is about 30 minutes West of Jackson. Can't say what the problem is there but it could be to much speeding & tailgating.

Thank you.

I'll look in to this. I'd rather stay out of Nashville.

Minimal traffic and cops..... And exits that have gas stations .... Keep that in mind.

The distance is probably very similar, but Nashville traffic can be a pain even during the middle of the day.

I'd like to stay close to the interstate So any recommendations is appreciated.

There's about 6 exits. They just got through building some nice hotels off I-40 in Jackson. Don't know the exit # but if you take the 4th exit right off the ramp are some very nice hotels to choose from. The signs on the interstate tells you what kinds are there.
