That's ridiculous.

Getting blown out/not being competitive in games is very different than being very competitive and coming up short.

Using that logic, there is no difference in our lost to Bama and Miami's 58-0 lost to Clemson.

One can say their team played well in a lose, that is not a "moral victory". It goes into the record books as a W or L. No record book I have never seen says W-L-MV.

Your example is beyond ridiculous. You are comparing a very bad team, Miami, getting blowed out by a very good team, Clemson and a good team, TN, losing a well fought game to a very good team, Bama.

Door step to doorstep is 648 miles.

In my younger days, I'd do it non stop.

Now, I'll stop. Lol.

Jackson has a nice Motel 6 on the west side of town if you do an overnighter. Right next to plenty of eating places off exit 80.

I know you are younger than me, I drive 11 hours straight to OKC so I know you can do it OB.

That is precisely the point Gramps (also a young team).

Both are loses in the record books. However, context matters. What is actually on the field matters.

Yeah. I can handle it. I drive all day as it is.

I am going to take my time and enjoy the sights. Leaves changing and such. I've never been to Chattanooga so I want to take it all in.

Once you get past Winchester exit, it's gonna be a nice drive up and over Monteagle mountain. The colors are real nice right now. Nooga is about an hour from there.

Colors should be peaking. That would be a nice drive.

Have a nice rainy drive. This rain is suppose to last through the weekend & it's moving East.

Really?

I've been to many a concert there. (Years ago)

Totally seriius. When we toured that college in arky another family we know toured the sane weekend. They left a day early and spent the whole day there.
It is no longer an entertainment venue.

I will definitely have to stop and check it out.

Thanks for the heads up

Just got off the phone with mom. She has no idea I headed her way tomorrow.

She sounded much better. Which warmed my heart.

I did ask her if she had a chicken to fry....

Mom said " you come see me, I have one to fry"

I played off my busy week and spoke of coming to see her for thanksgiving.

She is going to freak out when I'm there for coffee and the morning paper.
