Connecticut in January? You got chains and a 10 foot snorkel to breath under the snow?

Just kidding. The de-icing they put the planes through is very well done, plus the heat from the engines and systems keep things thawed once in flight. You rarely see mishaps due to icing any more.

I drive a F250. I can make it. :)

Thanks for the reply. I know flights like this are performed daily. I'm just not on them. Lol.

Lmao. Since when did an already cracked psyche being warped into a squiggly line from alcohol psychosis and no sleep become synonymous with masterpiece?

Some of my greatest observations in life have been while intoxicated. I think it allows the mind to open up. I.E. See Hendrix.

Yeah, but he's dead. I think I'm gonna smoke some weed and chilnl out before I start attacking the neighbors by catapulting the future in-law's dog through their kitchen window. Damn, I can't stand that dog..

A damn mutt. Shelty beagle mix. Maybe something else too. She doesn't know how to obey any command. Destructive. Her bark is actually violent, if that makes any sense..over 2 years old now and still pisses in the ****ing house..the animal has no redeeming qualities. And I'm saying that as someone who's loved dogs that had no redeeming qualities. This one is different. She needs to get shipped off to a Korean restaurant imo.

Bama's defense wasn't as great as ssome of Saban's best, but it didn't suck compared to the rest of the SEC

SCV-

I may be flying to Connecticut after the first of the year. I have flown many many times. But I find as I get older I'm having more anxiety over it.

Flying up north in the dead of the winter concerns me. I know these will seem as stupid questions to you, but what keeps the planes components from freezing and causing issues in flight? Flaps for example?

They spray a de-icer all over the wings and etc. before the depart the gate. I used to load and unload the food carts in between flights and the winter sucked. My truck would be 15 ft in the air with a little walkway bridge from its deck to the door of the plane. The deck was steel and the de-icer made it as slick as ice.

Pretty complex question. I honestly don't think I can answer it here without a huge tome. Basically though, flight controls themselves are not at risk for freezing up in flight due to water/ice intrusion. There is too much wind across the wings to allow the water to sit and freeze. The technology for removing snow and ice prior to flight has really improved in the last 10-15 years to the point that it isn't a problem anymore. Your concerns are really a non-issue. Hope this helps.

That's nice. Can you help with a more serious question; where did all the attractive flight attendants go?

Aeroflot, Avianca, TAM... Actually we are hiring a lot of new flight attendants now. What is really bugging me is trying to figure out when I became the old guy on the crew. I flew with one new FA that was born after I started flying here. Talk about an ego deflator.

Thank you sir. That does help.

Next flight I make, I want that gay guy that I watched on YouTube to be my FA. Dude seemed cool and would make the flight fun.

I hope Hog doesn't work for Werner trucking.

Because I've never had a good experience with their douche nozzle drivers.
