I twisted my back pretty good. Doctor gave me them along with anti-inflammatory meds.

I've got a drug screen coming up in a couple weeks.

Opiates are stored sometimes in fat cells so your body makeup can change it...a week should definitely be long enough with plenty of water to drink tho. Water is the key.massive.

Speaking of...it is flooding here in Charlotte bigtime. 15 inches of rain in november..December was super wet too...now this. Crazy.

Everything is flooded here. Marina broke loose and is hung up under a bridge here in town on the Arkansas river.

If you have a prescription for them you have nothing to worry about. Take your bottle with you when you do the test.

Be careful with opiates. They are very addictive.

I don't take drugs with out a dr prescription.

Speaking of health and prescriptions...............glad that you are back posting regularly and hope those health concerns are getting much better.

I was addicted to opiates after my first back surgery. Nearly cost me everything that matters to me.wife kids everything. Pain pills are pure evil. Your body builds a tolerance to them faster than any other drug. There is an epidemic in America. Heroine is taking over the pain pill culture

My second back surgery, this year, I gave my wife complete control over my meds. Told her to treat me like a child. Only give me what was prescribed when told to by the drs. They stepped me down gradually and it still almost killed me. The withdrawals and pain and sickness are unreal. When I got my nuts cut a week or 2 ago I didn't even fill the scrip
Gave it to my wife. I am man enough to know there are some things in life I can't handle. I can't handle opiates. If the Lord hadn't has His hands all over my marriage and my family then pain pills would have destroyed my family. Cost me my job, my family everything. All of which was fed to me by doctors...and for legitimate issues. I now have rods and screws in my spine. I eat a lot of ibuprofen. I don't know if I will ever not have a desire buried inside me to relapse and take opiates.

Be very careful guys. The devil loves the tool of addiction. He has been using it for thousands of years to destroy good men. It sneaks up on you slowly. I promise you I never said "hey I wanna pill habit and to try and wreck my family." My wife stood by me through things should never have had to. Ever. Because of her love for the Lord, not me at that point. That is one reason why I treat her like a queen. She has been by my side when I was at my worst. Our marriage is stronger for it. It has been battle tested for sure. Lol.

That's why I feel so fortunate to have not become addicted to them. When my doctor took me off them after a year of use, I didn't even blink.

they make me cranky. took myself off them early. even being on them for a short time I got to liking it and coming off wasn't fun.

Marcus that is a great informative post. I am sorry to hear about your back problems and a big congratulations for not allowing a pill destroy your life. Having a good wife and you both having faith in the Lord is a big plus. God does answer prayers.

There are many people that say anyone addictive is just scum, have no will power etc. What those people do not understand is there are many many good people that are addicted to opiates due to an illness or injury. It is really sad that the same medication that can help someone suffering great pain is the same medication that can turn around and completely destroy their lives.

How does Apple TV work as far as streaming of Espn, SEC ESPN, etc?

I know Sling TV allows you to live stream SEC network and ESPN, but you can only watch on one device at a time which may not be a problem since my son only watches Disney

You have to have a subscription to watch ESPN in order to stream it. Which comes with a pay TV subscription. Sling TV and Netflix may be a better option with your son.

You can also get a chrome cast and gey a few off the market apps that will function with it. We watched ant man the other night and I got caught up on hand of thrones by using an app I can carry to my TV.

the watchESPN site says it is included if you have a high speed ISP. So if I am keeping comcast cable as my ISP does this mean I will get watchESPN for free? If so, I can stream all of the ESPN I need it looks like, including SEC network

You have to have a high speed connection for it to work. And you'll still get news and updates through it. But you won't be able to stream without a pay TV subscription.
