I think Billy Gibbons with ZZ Top is one of the best guitarist I have hear or saw. Tres Hombres is one of my favorite albums. It still blows my mind how a guitar, a bass guitar and a set of drums can make music that sounds like that. I saw them in Knoxville around 1974, one of the best show I ever attended.

I'm at the Wilson Central vs Mt. Juliet basketball game and some goomba just barfed all over the guy in front of him and then passed out. Went down in a heap and barfed on himself several times. EMTs came in and couldn't get the poor bastage to come to. Four men had to carry him out like a dead body.
I'd say some young men are in a hell of a lot of trouble.

They put dude on a stretcher and wheeled him out....

Damn... I know it's most definitely alcohol, but hope the kid is alright.

Mn, you beat me to it. I just got back on to tell Ape to listen to another Irish guitarist in Rory Gallagher, specifically "Rory Gallagher with Jack Bruce-Politician." Gallagher didn't know the song, walked out and did a heck of a jam session. Of course, Jack Bruce is the best bass player ever.

Never understood kids who'd show up to school events (save prom, obviously) wasted. Closest we'd to school grounds after drinking was Papa's Pizza just down the street.

I liked the long jam. I also listened to a 10 minute Live at Filmore version of Eight Miles, and a couple of Bayou, one live in 1972, The one you linked is kind of a raw, unpolished , earthy version. Liked that too.

They were trying to move towards a much harder sound. Its funny, because White was the reason for that, yet he was a bluegrass picker... I love the Byrds for their diversity. They were never content with doing the same thing for very long.

He had no chance of rallying. Last word I heard was that he was still unconscious at the hospital and that he may have aspirated.

I hate seeing kids end up getting hurt or dead...I had a mentor when I was younger that taught me to rein it in til I built a tolerance. Saved me a lot of trouble in the short run, but might've screwed me long term.

I know what you mean.... This kid looked like no other drunk I've ever seen. He was comatose. I hope the guy ends up ok
