Official Seed List Watch Party Thread

Just now on the CBS March Madness tournament preview, they asked the Committe Chair about the Big 12.

"What do you do in a situation where the Big 12 could have 10 teams that are all worthy of being in the tournament?" They even emphasized Oklahoma as an example.

Meanwhile, the current Big 12 standings, uh ... i dunno, lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow! You’re right. I didn’t realize it was an either/or situation. Who would want an offense that can score points? That must mean I don’t want us to play any defense at all.

Whatever man.

Getting tired of these stupid posts about wanting to trade our elite defense for an elite offense

Where in my post did I say I would trade our defense for offense? I said I wanted a better offense.

I am honestly just dumbfounded by how the notion on this board that we would like a better offensive product is always met with such hostility.

I mean, we all would like a better offense but a lot of reason why we won 20 games is because of elite defense.

We don’t beat Bama, Kansas, or Texas without it

Jamie Dixon vs Rick Barnes in the second round is kind of funny since both are infamous for NCAA tournament underperformance

If they both met in the second round they would just have to both forfeit. Whoever was on the other side of the bracket would just be rewarded a win and move on. Both of those coaches probably book their family vacations for mid march.

Due to avoiding rematches and same conferences this stuff happens all the time.

We aren’t gonna be the two in Alabamas region and probably not Kansas’s either although that’s possible.

Correct. One of their rules is that the first four teams selected from the same conference have to be placed in different regions, so we can’t be with Bama. Texas can’t be in the same region as Kansas, Arizona can’t be with UCLA, etc.

New bracketology has us a 3 seed in Greensboro playing Hofstra, and getting the winner of Duke vs Oklahoma State. So Duke a 6 seed gets Greensboro? What a shock. That's the ultimate screw job.
