How can you be a mlb shortstop and not catch a popup 100% of the time?

And beardless franklin sucks just as much as bearded franklin.

I fell asleep yesterday and didn't even see what happened in the 9th, but reading it makes it sounds like it was not intentional or Cueto is downright stupid for choosing that time to make a point.

I'm much more concerned that Carp looks terrible on the mound right now.

Like I said, if that was intentional then he's a moron for doing it on a 0-2 count as the tying run in the 9th.

You've got a frustrated team who'll lash on anything to jump on. Eh, it's sports.

Just makes for fun off the field. I have no doubt in my mind these two teams will haev another all out brawl by the end of the year.

If I was a manager, I'd do the traditional thing and put my best defenders up the middle of the field (as in, SS, 2B, CF), but I don't think people realize how hard it is to play third. Quickest reaction time of any player (save liners back at a pitcher, which are just instinctual hope and pray maneuvers) and I would argue it's easier to throw home from the outfield than it is to throw lasers from third to first to get someone out. Just shows how good of an all-around player Pujols is. I wish more people understood what they are getting to see every time Albert plays the game.

What's funny is my wife has figured out how good he is. It's to the point now to where if she asks me to do something and I say, "Hold up, Pujols is at bat (or on deck)", she'll stop what she's doing and come and watch too.

And I agree on third. It takes a special breed to play it, and a very special breed to be able to excel at it.

Dropped a pop-up in the 8th that I'd been annoyed with if a Little-leaguer dropped. Led to tyign run.

Upon reflection, if Garcia end the season with 19 wins (got a ND), he should indeed rape Green with a broken-broomhandle daily the entire offseason. He threw a brilliant game last night.
