Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Let me just get this out there, management is full of ****ing morons. The Jake Westbrook acquisition was just stupid and then they tried to top it by signing old Berkman. Why trade for Westbrook when we already have an overpaid suckass in Lohse? Oh, and still no contract extension for Pujols.

Ok, I'm done.

Garcia's inevitable march to the Cy Young couldn't have got off to a better start. 160-2. I'm back on the wagon.

I'm really scratching my head at recent moves. By recent, I mean since 2006.

You have to be kidding me. Losing back to back series to the Padres and the Pirates?

I believe the Pirates will be improved this year.

I expect the Reds to run away with it. If they don't, I think you could pick out of a hat to pick the NLC champion.

Too early to panic, but this has the indications of a loooooooooooooooooooong year.

I hate to be this way, but there is part of me that hopes Pujols does go. At least that way there can be a distinct long-term plan for the organization. This will be the third season is which the desire to keep him and basically left the organization without a plan for the future. You are seeing the fruits of that now.

For those keeping score at home, that's now 3 blown saves in four chances for Franklin. As bad as this team is, if he could do his job they'd be over .500 right now.

Nice piece on 60 Minutes tonight about Big Al, showed what a great guy he really is. Cards' management really needs to re-sign him...
