Honestly, the Phillies should of tanked this series to the Braves, because the Cardinals are red hot going into the play off's.....as we've seen...the hot team usually does that much better during the playoffs....

Won't have a competition from STL any time soon.

So the cyclical history since the 40s of the Cardinals appears to continue....good in even number decades, bad in odd number decades.....

Just look on the bright side...there's always 2020. Assuming the Mayans were wrong.

ESPN says they have a 27.7 chance of making the playoffs. I suppose they expect Carp to go 33-0 in his starts this year to give them that high of one.
