Pujols started slowly last year, too. He's a great hitter and will come around. But honestly, how many Cards fans are taking just a little bit of pleasure in the Angels' early struggles?
The Cardinals could have pushed harder two years ago to lock Pujols up but they didn't. I don't blame Pujols for taking the money at all but I also really don't care how well he plays for the Angels.
Exactly. Like any random Cardinals fan would've turned down that contract.
He was already the god of STL. I guess you'd turn down over 50 million.
I also believe his wife wanted to move to LA
If wishing someone had stayed with the team they started with then I guess I'm turning down money for others.
I understand why he left. We can argue all day if we think it was the correct decision or not.
The Cardinals will be fine without him as they have been before him.
