If Dawson got in you have to let Beltran in IMO, assuming he plays relatively well for another 4-5 years. Extremely similar career arcs to this point.

I agree. I started looking through all those 300/300 players and he was the one that I started contrasting with Beltran.

Dawson is at 74 %
Lofton 79%
Ichiro and Crawford around 82%

Even Rickey Henderson was only 80% successful. Not comparing them as base stealers or their speed, but it just points to how astounding Beltran's success rate is.

It just shows that base stealing isn't just about pure speed. I think Beltran is one of the smartest baserunners the league has seen in a long time.
