The bats looking really good early. I know it's just Spring ball but they're hitting really well. Hopefully it carries over to the season.

I'm fine with how we look. I wouldn't tradse places with them. Many times the over the years the Scrubs have had the best team on paper...

You can laugh all you want but I wouldn't trade with the Scrubs at all. In fact I like our chances to win the Central. The Reds should be very solid again. I think it'll come down to the Cards and the Reds and no other team will be in the mix for the Central.

You didn't get why I was laughing. The Cubs are bad. Saying they've had "the best team on paper" plenty of times is hilarious. They've made the playoffs, what, six times since 1946?

The Cubs didn't make the postseason for 40 years, but remember, it was different back then. There was no wild card. Only one team got in, then only two from each league (in the good old days).

1984, 1989, 1998, 2003, 2007, and 2008. Since 1945. DAAAAMMNNNNN

everyone hated their most recent GM, but he gave that franchise more consistent success than they tasted in awhile.

if the cubs ever win and do a "we forgive ya bartman!" thing I hope he gives them a gigantic middle finger. dude is one of the biggest cubs fans of all time, one of the good ones.

true, but he really let the organization go downhill. terrible farm system and bad contracts. theo and hoyer will do fine though.

That's my point. On paper they've had the talent to go to post season but they find a way to Cub it up.

Saying they've been awful is enough. You don't have to pretend they've always been better than you and you've somehow overcome the odds and taken down the mighty cubs.
