Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

4 1/3 innings pitched allowing 4 runs on 9 hits in 74 total pitches.

The best thing is that he can take his time. The Cards have been fine without him, and they can afford to wait until October. Carp just needs to take it easy these next 2 months.

3 1/3 reported on twitter. ?

Really big 5 game series coming up in PNC park next week. Actually will be interesting to see how the cardinals come out of this next stretch with 3 against the braves, 5 against the Pirates, 3 against the reds, and 4 against the Dodgers.

Most definitely. I'd settle for series wins against the Pirates, reds and a split in LA.

Don't they have to make a decision of bringing him back or releasing him (or something) within 30 days from the start of his rehab?

I don't think they can just keep him in the minors until they need him.

Big stretch starts tonight in Atlanta. I'd love for the Cardinals to draw the Braves in the playoffs. Very favorable matchup

Cliff Lee would be nice in a Cardinal uniform but I don't see the need for the Cards to make a move. They're in prime position, and Mozeliak will not want to trade any prospects like Wacha or Martinez, I bet.

JM won't give up much so I don't see us getting Lee.

Very favorable indeed.

Haha how funny. Y'all get a reg season sweep and act like it's a HUGE thing. Last year we came with in a frogs hair of going back to the WS and you Braves fans were quick to point out that losing in the NLCS was no accomplishment. Haha
