Your commentators did have a good point the other night that this is one of the situations where Pujols is missed the most. When everybody else was slumping he was still able to somewhat carry you guys through it by himself.


OAN: I can't say enough about this Pirates bullpen. Locke struggles and only gets through 4 and then the bullpen pitches 4 shutout innings

If it was 07 Pujols, then absolutely. He has really declined since the Cardinals let him go.

Oh yeah, wasn't implying the same would happen with Pujols nowadays. More just that is a big difference between those older Cardinals teams and this one

I figured it was what you were implying. The announcers are correct. In the Pujols prime days, he would carry the team through any slump.

figures the 2 days i pick to go see my cards this year, they are in the worst slump of the season. hopefully they get it turned around before sat and sun.

molina's bat has been a pleasant surprise this year. hope he gets healed quick. we gonna need him for sure come crunch time. this div is super tight this year.

Kelly has looked great tonight for you guys. Morton has been his usual self lately, we really need Wandy back to get him out of the rotation. Will be interested to see how you guys do against Cincinnati this weekend in Cincinnati. Both teams could really use a series victory to get back on track

Kelly has shown flashes at times. Just needs more consistency. The Cards made up for all the runs they didn't get in the slump in one night.

Defensive shift absolutely huge there to keep it 3-2. Normal positioning and that is easily a base hit for Adams
