Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Playing in a tornado + inability to locate pitches = Cardinals loss

Lackey or Lynn tomorrow? Has to be Lackey, right?

I know the entire world wants the Cubs to win. But this is getting ridiculous. Last night wouldn't give Wacha his low strikes yet gave them to Arietta. Today they won't give Lackey legit strikes on the corner but giving Hamils pitches off the plate. Really ****ty.

best record in BB going home LOL

Most injured team in baseball, too. Pretty outstanding that we got to 100 wins considering.

The difference is that the Cubs punished our pitchers' mistakes, and almost everyone on the STL side looked complacent from the day we clinched the division. Not a surprising result, all things considered.

Still pissed at Jaime Garcia.

No doubt. Pitching failed when we needed it most and the bats were silent outside of Carpenter, Piscotty, and Heyward. Cubs are the team of destiny.

I said the winner of this series goes to the World Series, and I'm sticking to it. The Cubs are going to the World Series.

If the pitching isn't there we're struggling to keep up. I was surprised we won as many as we did this season. So many injuries to key players.

Re-signing Heyward would be nice, but we'll have to see what he wants.

He may have played his way into a contract larger than the Cards will offer. 5th best position player in the NL by WAR. Hope not, because he's already one of my favorite recent Cards.

Heyward trade officially a bust. Having miller for a few more years on his original contract would like nice right now.

Get Gordon and we will forget about Heyward.

Gordon will be a net positive for team chemistry.

Go get Heeem!

They have the money to spend. Mo needs to make a (smart) move, because the Cubs have decisively won the arms race at this point.

It's not all bad; we still have Piscotty and Grichuk for 4-5 years in the OF. Just don't overpay for Chris Davis, please.
