This next series will decide everything. After it, the Pirates play the Reds at home and we go to ATL. I think that we need to take 2 of 3. 1 of 3 and we will really feel the pressure.

I stopped paying attention in the 8th inning yesterday because I thought we had it in the bag. Later I was looking at the standings and wondering why we were only 2.5 up.

Win one of the doubleheader games tomorrow and the division, along with homefield advantage is clinched.

It's really unfair how stacked the NL Central is. I have zero doubts that one of the 3 will be representing the NL in the World Series.

Probably the most unhealthy team in the majors wins 100 games and the toughest division in recent memory. It was definitely an all hands on deck effort.

The way this division turned out this year should really force MLB to take a serious look at how the teams are seeded for the playoffs. The best team in baseball will be playing arguably the second best team in the Divisional series.

I agree. And yet Joe Maddon will win manager of the year. I'd put Matheny, Hurle and Terry Collins over him for various reasons.

Yeah I thought the same thing. Only explanation has to be that they don't want 2 teams from the same division playing in the NLCS which is a crock. Should be Cards vs. worst record no matter what division. Cubs and Pirates would beat either Dodgers or Mets.
