Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Once again, Waino deserves better. Got it together but Edman was abouttonly guy not hung over from roadly trip and 5AM trip home
I know, and my question is becoming the batting coach. A great job by Waino, and offensive help again. It’s just becoming a habit of seeing no offense.

If you’re going to bunt the 2nd time with men on 1st and 2nd with no outs, then you have to push that ball pass the the pitcher to make the 3rd baseman charge it, so no one is sitting on 3rd. Good grief, at least learn that.

Speaking of bunting, do you realize that Carpenter could be batting about 900 right now if he just bunts it pass the pitcher all of the time with no one at third base. Geeze!

Welcome back Andrew Miller. Great job. Now, Fernandez gave up 2 runs top of the ninth, if not for that we would be playing right now in the 10th.

View attachment 372205The good guys lost but we still had a good time. I hope Yadi isn’t too bad. These injuries are pulling up.
I hope you and whoever else had a great time. He is listed from day to day. I know the score wasn’t a great time, but the stadium is always a good time. Now you got to see straight up on what is really going on live. Can you kind of explain what you saw out there?? What did the players look like in their faces, bodies, and spirit wise?? If you could tell?

The only guy I saw with noticeable body language was Carpenter. I think his struggles are wearing on him at the plate. I saw some dumb plays (Oviedo throwing to 2B, nobody cutting the throw home, the passed ball & bad throw). Otherwise, injuries seem to be the biggest problem.

O’Neal, Edman and Sosa are dirt dogs. I’ma big fan of their effort and energy.

Just when I thought Carp was about to turn the corner, he goes back down struggling. I don’t know what he is struggling about? Is it the shift? Is it his feet, eyes, stance? I noticed one time here back, that he didn’t stand right at the plate. Maybe he needs to change his stance up some. Something seems off with his swing. I noticed that communication in the outfield is sometimes not there, and it wasn’t there a little bit last year. O’Neil, and Sosa, and Edman they do get after it, bringing the energy to the team. You’re right, these injuries are absolutely a concern, and hoping we get a lot of these guys back soon.
