I'm not sure what to believe. I think we'll find out a lot this offseason. Not sure the Cardinals will make any big changes, but I hope they do. Hope they add one of the top free agent SS. Wouldn't mind adding another starting pitcher and a reliever or two.

I saw where Jordan Hicks left his AFL team to go home. He was pitching pretty poorly up until that as well. Had an ERA over 9 in 4 2/3 innings pitched in the Arizona Fall League. Not great.

We need a veteran batter shortstop to help this team. If we don’t make any moves in the off-season, Mo needs to go. A lot of talk on Max Scherzer, but I don’t even know that now. Im sure that we are going to be watching to see who/what they do. It’ll be pathetic if they don’t!

#Cardinals have moved Jordan Hicks off the 60-day IL and back onto the 40-man roster after his rehab assignment to Arizona Fall League ends. To make room RHP Justin Miller was designated for assignment.
Well! Speaking of Jordan Hicks, he has been on the 40 man roster. Hummm? I didn’t know that his ERA was that bad in the Arizona league. I cautbits and pieces of it, but never really kept up with it. This came from Derrick Goold!

when i hard of leading candidates, i voted for carlos

Yea, to be honest, I also thought Mo had to go. We still don’t know all of the Mike Shildt’s situation. A lot hit the fan a few weeks ago, and I wonder if it was Jeff Albert in all of that with Shildt? I think Yadi called out Carlos, and that would’ve been a great get, or fit.

A few months ago Tommy Edman said this: “I don't think we’ve necessarily done the greatest job of making a game plan for how guys are going to throw us day-by-day and working on things pre-game that are specifically tailored to prepare ourselves for that”

Shildt was stubborn and often ignored the analytics.

This is unbelievable, but I expected at least 5. I thought Bader might not be in there, because he missed a lot of time at the beginning. All I can is, let’s vote, vote, vote.

How many of the 6 do you think actually win the Gold Gloves? I think Arenado, O'Neill, and Goldschmidt win them. Bader has a chance but he missed time.

Matt Carpenter and Carlos Martinez are, as expected, free agents. #Cardinals decline options, officially.

I think they will be picked up by other teams, and I don’t think Carpenter will retire as a Cardinal.

To me, you keep Happ, Lester, McFarland, Leblanc, and Garcia. You bring in Correa, Seager, or Trevor Story, and add Pujols and roll with it.

They have to attempt to retain Garcia and McFarland. I think I’d let the others walk.

I wouldn’t hate them making a run at a top FA SS but we have to save money for adding pitching.

I do agree about having to retain money to add pitching, get a veteran SS. It’s a difficult decision to make on some of these guys.

Signing McFarland is big. He was a huge piece out of that bullpen. Goold said earlier today that the Cardinals wanted to bring back 2 relievers and McFarland was one. I'd assume Garcia is the other. I wouldn't mind LeBlanc coming back either. I kinda want them to bring back Lester too.
