Oof, Thompson flirted with disaster there allowing two guys to get on base with one out, but he worked his way out of it.

On to the 12th; Wilson, Bennett, and Miles. The latter two have combined for 5 hits so far tonight.

Keisler pitched pretty well.

Ol Clutch himself Spiezio got'em to extras with a two-run single in the 9th. Good stuff. Nice pitching by Thompson late as well.

Nice showing by Keisler, although Brad Thompson got the win. Pujols and P. Wilson were both 0-for-5. Wonder how many runs this team can score when Pujols starts hitting the ball.

While the hitting has left a bit to be desired to this point, I gotta say I'm pleased with the pitching thus far. Just over a week's worth of games, but not too bad once they got away from that AL-like lineup of the Mets.

Pittsburgh just had a 4 hit inning in which they only managed to score 1 run.

1-0 Pirates going to the 5th.

I love it. Pujols, batting .156 on the season, is intentionally walked to load the bases with one out.

Cards already have 1 run this inning...

Wilson singled home another run before Edmonds struck out with the bases still loaded to end the inning.
