Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Ah...I thought there was one somewhere...just to lazy to look....that will happen after back to back 18 hour shifts..lol...my bad

Braden Looper (0-1, 4.50) vs. Ian Snell (0-0, 3.00) this afternoon as the Cards open a series with the Pirates.

This was about the time in his last start that he started to hit the wall. He's only thrown 58 pitches so far, so hopefully he can get another two solid innings.

They did. :rock2:

Cards win 3-0.

Wilson with the pinch hit two run double in the 8th all but sealed the win.

Great start by Looper... only gave up 2 hits and 3 walks over 7 innings. Izzy even had a 1-2-3 9th for the save.

3-4

The 2005 National League Cy Young Award winner visited team physician Dr. George Paletta in St. Louis on Monday and underwent an MRI, which revealed moderate arthritis and a mild impingement in the elbow. However, Carpenter is not suffering from any serious ligament damage.
I guess that's encouraging?

It was the lack of ligament damage I was ecstatic about. Hopefully a couple week's worth of rest will cure him.

Randy Keisler (NR) vs. Tom Gorzelanny (1-0, 3.60) tonight in tropical Pittsburgh.
