They're already hedging their bets. A few months ago when we said 8 was a minimum and they clamored and banged their chests and said 10 would be the minimum and we'd win the east. Now there's slowly starting to be more and more of them talking 7-8 wins will be monumental. By the time NCSt game gets here there will be MANY more beating that drum.

ok...:cray:im so sorry:cray:..:cray::cray:...logic is the team regressed because of no leadership from team players, not the coach. No real SEC seniors and juniors and lack of muscles from workouts. No team chemistry, and most of all the lack of SEC caliber coaches.
I know so far Dooley has not shown he can handle it but this year is the first year he has everything or almost everything he needs to go out and fight a 12 round heavy weight fight. He might not be able to win the fight but he will be able to stand toe to toe for 12 rounds.

The height of hypocracy. The DDNMWB falsly accuse me and others of bad mouthing the team when we're critical of DD. Yet y'all are the ones who lay the blame on the actual players for ills of this team.

TRIED TO MAKE A LIST BASED ON PAST NEGATIVE COMMENTS THAT WERE MADE WITHOUT REASONABLE EXPLANATION OR FOUNDATION.

NOT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE TO LIKE OUR COACH, BUT AS VOL FANS I CANNOT MAKE SENSE OF THOSE WHO DO NOT SUPPORT HIM (WHOEVER HE IS). I'M SURE I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT DD IF HE WASN'T OUR COACH. FOR EXAMPLE: I DON'T CARE ONE THING ABOUT VANDY COACH JAMES FRANKLIN. HOWEVER IF HE WAS OUR COACH I WOULD(REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH I DISLIKE HIM)SUPPORT HIM. JMHO

IF MY LIST CONTAINS SOMEONE WHOM I HAVE MISCHARACTERIZED I AM SORRY. THAT WAS NOT MY INTENTION. :peace2:

Not everyone should have to like our coach, but as vol fans i cannot make sense of those who do not support him (whoever he is). I'm sure i couldn't care less about dd if he wasn't our coach. For example: I don't care one thing about vandy coach james franklin. However if he was our coach i would(regardless of how much i dislike him)support him. Jmho

Actually I put the blame on not having enough sec players or experience to compete, but say what you want it makes no difference, it is what it is.

You've missed my point and the point of most you disagree with. None of us have said we were loaded with talent. The issue many of us have with DD is that we didn't show progress as the year went along but instead we regressed. I along with most people put that on the coach. His job is to make the team better.

With the exception of vandy and tucky, UT's roster regressed as the season went on. But yea, ya got a point.

Theoretically every position should be better at the end of the season than the beginning of the season. That's why I said that even in losses we didn't show improvement. I knew we'd lose some games but even in losses a team should show progress.

What? Was every player injured? Look I know the injuries but the rest of the team regressed as the season went along and they flat out quit. I put the lack of improvbement and a coach losing his team on him.

I can understand this, but tell me what happened after halftime in the LSU, Bama, and Arkansas games with the defense. I dont believe it was depth issues as most try to point out. I believe it was more along the lines of Dooley failing to adjust.

or possibly players getting their butts handed to them, with no one to come in and replace them...i agree the half time speech did not work but what do you do when you dont have the players to compete with those types of teams?...also i do say it was the coaches that played a part of our defensive woes, thats why CSS is here.
I dont know if he was thought of before Wilcox left but he is here now.
