Problem is Count...If we get on a roll and win the 10 games...that are looming....they will be in the front row....saying...I KNEW CDD COULD PULL IT OFF..:clapping:

Count me in. I see this as a 4 loss team. 8 wins is only an improvement over the garbage we've seen recently. 8 wins is hardly a rebirth of dominance

The problem with this thread is everyone has a different expectation of what success is. And in my opinion, to really prove that he is capable to getting it done, he needs to beat some teams that have an edge in talent. 8 wins is just treading water, 9-10 wins shows some sort of competitive coaching prowess.

By the way, lol at the posters who say they'll serve crow in this thread after beating NCST. I'm glad beating a middle of the pack ACC team is some sort of accomplishment in your eyes.

LOL. Man, I'm with you! We have certainly been spoiled with the previous kickers we've had at TN over the years, but I don't dare eek that it couldn't get any worse. We definitely need a kicking game we can count on.

How many years in a row have you said this? Been a while. And is Florida the measuring stick? By most accounts, they should be "down" by their standards. So please tell me you're not going to base your entire " I told you so's" on them. Are you?

I don't agree that to question Dooley decisions and actions is to be negative. That's the kind of thinking that leads to bad things in any endeavor. Football is entertainment and many of us are paying money to enjoy watching the product perform. We get the right to question and talk about it, whether the end result is good or bad.

Generally everbody agrees the schedule, roster and conditioning of players are all good. The only things left to know are coaching related. So this season we will know. Hope CDD gets it done. That will prove he is the total package as a head coach or not.

I think we all know it was a difficult situation to come into and the reasons why. Year 1 he did a decent job with what he had. Year 2 he underacheived ...taking a 6 or 7 win team to 5 wins. It is one thing to have lower expectations due to events out of his control ...it is a completly different thing to achieve even less than those original lower expectations.

I hope Dooley gets it figured out. He has proved to be a good recruiter and stable figure. It would set the program back even further to have to change coaches yet again. But I dont think you sugar coat his results from last season.

I dont care how "down" UF is. If we beat them for the first time in 7 years, then it is a reason to get excited and gives me reason to think things are moving in the right direction.

No we'd be saying... great, he's fixed his mistakes and has improved as a coach. Winning makes the future better .... it doesn't replace the past. He can't turn any of those losses to wins... especially the UK loss.
