everyone who has spent the last three years in their parents basement playing nothing but the '98 season over and over on the TV.

I don't think anyone expected that after they sat and watched players be pulled off of redshirt so we could play.

You do know... the players are the ones that actually play the game, right?

How is he going to compete with half of a roster with players he didn't recruit who have NO experiance.

So the fact we have a MUCH easier schedule doesn't factor in? 8 wins with 2012 schedule is equivalent to 6 wins with 2011 schedule. So 8 wins will not be any kind of milestone to those who live in reality.

We have 5 games that we should def win, 4 that could go either way, and 3 that should be losses, so an 8 win season would be taking 3 out of 4 that could go either way, and that's not too bad.

In case you were wondering which teams I had listed as going either way: NC State (neutral site- good team and qb), Fla (a lot of talent, haven't beaten in a while), Mississippi State at Mississippi State, and Missouri.

The only games that should be in question are bammer, UGA, USC and UF. The other 8 should be wins. The fact some on this site want to lower expectations is exactly what I predicted. Now 8 wins will have all of you DDNMWB proclaiming UT is back.

Mississippi State, Missouri, and NC state are games that are questionable because of the state of the team when Dooley took it over. We are not an elite team at this point, because of the mess that Kiffin/Fulmer left. If we cannot agree on this, then we will not see eye to eye. We are definitely better off now, then when Dooley took over, and this is only his third year, I think producing an eight or nine win team within a three-year window, given what he had is not too bad.

I also think it's funny that the only games that should be in question are games that should probably be losses. You leave no chance for a team upsetting us. That never happens in college football.

I totally disagree. There is NO excuse for UT to lose to any of those teams.

Well, we will just have to agree to disagree,but if we end up with an eight or nine win season, after what this program has been through over the last few years, I'll be ecstatic.

I will judge DD by how we do against the 4 teams I mentioned. 9 wins or more and I'll give him credit. 8 wins is the minimum. Like I said, 8 wins this year is equivalent to 6 last year.

I remember several fans screaming to fire Fulmer because he thought 8 wins was good...Now if Dooley wins 8 games he has rebuilt the program?..lol

If you will give him credit with nine wins, then that's pretty reasonable, we should win eight or nine games this year.

And you know this how?...Granted Fulmer wasn't any sort of football genius but he was good at making due with what he had.
