7 of the Top 9 teams lost?Colorado wins. But, so does Baylor. That Baylor win hurts. Plenty of teams fighting for a 3-seed have been losing, but it’s looking less and less likely that a 2-seed is possible. The top 6-7 teams are just firming up at the top.
Credit to Baylor though. Riddled with injuries and they just keep finding a way to win. Damn….
He’s publicly known to dislike Tennessee athletics, seems to let it effect his brackets which is pretty petty
Totally agreeIt's baffling, considering the fact that Rick Barnes a beloved man is our coach, that so many pundits seem to really dislike Tennessee.
It's impressive how many of these paid writers show a great disdain for all things Tennessee. Pat Forde, Jerry Palm, Andy Katz, and Jeff Goodman are probably 3 of the worst offenders. Jeff Goodman hasn't said one good thing about this team this year. He trashed us in November after the Villanova game and essentially hasn't changed his opinion since then. We beat Auburn yesterday and all he managed to do was talk about Auburn in his post-game show and didn't mention Tennessee really at all....the team that beat them.
I know I shouldn't care, and I don't care too much. But, as a huge fan of the sport, it's annoying that I can't really go anywhere for analysis and breakdown of Tennessee basketball and their season. We are rarely discussed.
It's why I'm thankful to have Vol Nation, because there really isn't anywhere else to go to.
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure all of the teams have lost since the reveal except for Duke, Wisconsin, and Providence. So wouldn’t we be right around that 11 or 12 overall in the committee’s eyes? Sounds about where we should be, maybe even in the top 10 after the Auburn win, even though they have dropped 2 games since the reveal. They were the 2nd overall seed on the 19th. Hard to believe they would drop Auburn out of the top 10 if they thought so highly of them. He’s been low on Tennessee all year. Even after the top 16 reveal.
Nova and TTU are 3’s, Purdue, Kentucky and Duke are the 2’s we have a chance at imo…those 5 teams are the main teams we need to be watching though imo.I’d say Baylor. I don’t think we’re catching them at this point. That ship has sailed. The potential 2-seeds we’re chasing are Purdue, TTU, and Nova, IMO. We need those teams to falter a bit more.
