They got screwed by two blown calls by the ref. Foul on Reyna - Not called and then goal for Ghana. Foul in the box that wasn't foul. Second goal. It didn't help the Donovan totally blew it. He was supposed to be the man and didn't deliver. McBride played his heart out. I feel bad for them all but in the end a poor game against Czech and half ass effort against Ghana killed them.

Bruce Arena is the Phil Fulmer of the international soccer world.

Unfair to Fulmer, cause Arena hasn't done anything in terms of championships.

To be honest, there was no foul on Reyna. The Ghana player was just stronger in the tackle. It happens.

Although I know where you were going with this,
it's not strictly true....

CONCACAF Champions Cup - 1998
Interamerican Cup Champion – 1998
MLS Cup Champion - 1996-1997
U.S. Open Cup Champion – 1996
NCAA Champion - 1989, 1991-1994

Hey I was curious, I googled...

I knew someone would bring those up, but the comparison for Fulmer's 1998 Championship would be making it to the semifinals, finals, or a WC championship.

Disagree. He came through and took out his knee. Fouls have been called for less. Also been reading up on some German sites and they too thought it was a missed call.

Having said enough about missed calls though. That is not only reason they lost. The team was weak today. Maybe from playing so hard the other day against Italy but still weak. Not a good world cup. Think we will see a coaching change soon.

I wasn't overly fond of the officiating in yesterday's game, but you've got to be able to score more than one goal (in three games) to have any chance of advancing.

All in all a disappointing WC for us this year.

yeah the rest of the world knows its only a matter of time before we start dominating soccer.

. . . .Even better now.

We did nothing in this cup but show that we are nowhere close to the level of the superpowers and don't really seem to care that much (save a few moments from the Italy game).

That prevent defense by Argentina was absolutely disgusting.
