'25 OG USC transfer Emmanuel Pregnon (Oregon)

Not if we don't start spending in the top 5 category. We're not in top 10, that top 5 range is spending double what we are.
I’m gonna keep saying it until I get proven otherwise. I still believe We’ll start spending in top tier when we start closing the top tier players who are actually worth that much money. We don’t seem to have a problem closing top tier DLs with garner and QBs with heupel.

Starting to wonder if we’ll close on enough talent outside if DLs and QBs to win championships..
It's not that bad. We've signed highly recruited WR, TE, OL as well recently. And we're hitting home runs on RB evaluations, so the rankings of our signees at RB don't matter to me. It's really just LB and CB where we haven't signed an elite talent out of HS. But we're in a "live and die by the portal" situation on the OL until some our more recent OL signees mature.

We don't actually know if money was the deciding factor here. It's likely that Oregon was the school that convinced him to make the jump. It's possible he liked their staff better or wanted to stay on the west coast.
