Ok VolNation...Let's talk Oklahoma and Florida (merged)

What I hope will unfold, and what I think will happen...is the Gator defense will squeeze the Sooner offense. Since their starting TB is out, even though they have several capable backs this stunts them. Their recievers I think won't be able to get separation from the DB's. I look for the Sooner o-line and Bradford to play valiantly, but with pass options squeezed, I think the Gator defense gets many sacks. If LB Spikes has a good game the Sooner run game should be weak with back-up backs. In short I don't see the Sooners putting up more than 20 points..that I think gets them defeated.

if Bradford is on....and he usually is, 6'8" Gresham will be open all night. He has outstanding speed to weigh 260 and a vertical leap that is amazing. Last I looked I'm thinking their corners and safeties are between 5'9" and 6'. He'll catch the ball while they bite his knee caps.:)

I am taking a little nugget of cautious optimism from the B12 performances so far. TT got smushed. Texas gave up over 200 yards rushing to a B10 team (and that conference is once again being proven sucky) and Texas couldn't score a ton (though their QB threw for a quarter mile or so).

Not that it is the be all and end all, but at this point it does appear as though some of the doubts about the B12 may be accurate, at least in part.

The last I looked Gresham was 6'6". But we'll give him a couple inches for the sake of arguing. He's a freaking tight end. I will take my chances with a tight end all day. Usually a corner will not cover the tight end as well. I can guarantee you our linebackers are just as fast as Gresham, certainly our nickel corner as well. The key word you used in the whole post was "IF". If this, if that. Enough talk, lets play the game.

The Big 12 South has looked bad, and I expect that to continue.
Dittos.

I thought Florida would win to begin with, but after seeing other members of the Big 12 south look less than impressive, to put it mildly, I'll be surprised if it's close now.

In the cases of TT and Texas, just look where they were? Do you really think TT wanted to be in the Cotton Bowl and Texas in a bowl game that wasn't titled "BCS National Championship". No. Which is why analyzing this game through the analysis of bowl games is just stupid.

You might want to research what your defensive coordinator had to say about him. Seems he agrees with me.:)

Janoris Jenkins covered 6'6" Greg Carr of FSU well as well as 6'4" Julio Jones of Alabama. They probably won't use Jenkins on the TE, but he's capable, and he's only 5'11" I believe. Brandon Spikes is capable of covering the TE.

Tell you the truth, I don't listen really to what anyone on CUM's staff says because it is all coach speak. Of course he's gonna say we have respect for Gresham and he is a great player and all that. I'm not even denying that. He's really good and will be a great TE in the NFL. Using Gresham as a game breaker type player is kinda crazy when all the receivers OU has. Yea, he's a great compliment, but he certainly does not make that offense go. I think you will be surprised at how UF's D plays your Offense. By the way, Gresham is listed at 6'6" on the roster sheet.

As well as LB's Doe, Jones and Hicks. I personally believe Will Hill will cover the TE some of the time in Nickel coverage, just my opinion.

I've been saying Florida would crush OU for some time. I'm not basing it on the bowls. However, the defensive problems in the Big 12 were magnified when Texas kept blowing tackles yesterday, and when Ole Miss set their season high for points playing Texas Tech. I haven't been too impressed by the offenses either. Texas Tech didn't exactly look great against Ole Miss. McCoy may have put up big numbers yesterday, but he threw a lot of passes into straight into the linemen, and had some other bad throws, like at the end of the half for the interception. OU can win, and I wouldn't mind it at all if they did, but Florida will need to play poorly for that to happen in my opinion.

And obtw, TX had an AP title to play for while OSU had nothing to play for. Bad set of facts for TX.

I'll bet the rent money on a straight up game with you right now. What's your rent?

Big Papa I have become wayyyyyy too fond of you to take your money on a sure thing. But my old friend I will come back after the game to take your dignity.:)

Did you catch what we did to Texas Tech? Just wondering.
Ohh and that was with a healthy Crabtree and with the three defensive starters that were out during the Ol Miss game playing.

This post wins the prize....LMAO and what a great job he did on Julio Jones!!!!!!!!!! OMG I hope we do get that match up. Julio looked like he was out there alone. LMAO:):)

Yeah, but Boss, that was at your house. On a neutral field you are 0 - 1.
