I'm going to disagree. The national rates of gun violence in homicides is less than that of the 80's, and the accessibility to obtain guns was less lenient in the 80's, yet school shootings were not occurring with even close to recent history's regularity.

Gun accessibility wasn't the causative precursor to the high gun homicide rates during the 80's. Cartel and gang drug wars, over crack cocaine in particular, were the causative precursors. Legal gun accessibility neither inflated nor decreased the rate to any notable degree during that period.

I personally believe we have a religious or spiritual crisis in our country and Evil is a driving factor in school shootings. I'll leave that statement isolated as spirituality is tough to argue in a politics forum.

We clearly have untreated mental health problems and too lenient sentencing for violent offenders effecting the school shootings as well.

A very close friend of mine was recently murdered during the past few months by a violent offender with a past history of violent crimes. Wrong place wrong time for my friend, But the scum bag that killed him shouldn't have been on the streets to begin with. It didn't involve a gun, and a good guy with a gun couldn't have saved my friend.

As i sat and watched on network TV...which very rarely happens in my home...as our government and police did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as domestic rioters and terrorists burned and destroyed cesspool Dimwit controlled northern cities...1 after another....after another....i said 2 things loud and clear. Over and over.

1. This BS guarantees there will be NO gun grabbing legislation passed in MY lifetime...clearly families can only count on THEMSELVES to protect them from brutal murders, arson, widespread looting of hardworking folks entire livelihoods.....guns and ammo sales will go through the roof.

2. These fools will never try this bullsheit in rural America, nor down south unless in the few extremely liberal cities such as ATL and memphis. Country folks of all shapes, sizes, and skin tones will kill these mofos dead just like the animals we hunt long before we let them steal our property, hurt our friends and families, or burn and loot our towns and communities.

The VERY NEXT program on TV should have been nonstop footage of these animals burning, looting, destroying, assaulting. ...and murdering US citizens and their property. Over and over. These videos of the riots should roll without ceasing until these Dimwit dipsheits drop the subject completely. Make sure Americans and their short memories do NOT forget what police stood back and watched these animals (mostly white teens btw in many cases) did in some of the biggest cities in the US. What an embarrassment. The greatest country on Earth being destroyed from within for all the world to see. Simply because gun free cities under Dimwit rule had no means to defend themselves.

We were treating the “ patients “ before the 1990s .. why did we stop ? See I like simplicity, it cuts down on all the bullsh!t and pandering. We didn’t have a mass shooting epidemic when I was growing up or into my young adulthood and we had more access to firearms then we do today , so in a very simple way I ask .. what changed ?

FYI.. the oogie boogie rifle that everyone is afraid of now ( AR-15) was first produced in 1959 .

I’m unaware of a gun problem. South Dakota has the second most guns and yet the least homicides. Maryland is one of the 10 lowest states in gun ownership and yet has the 3rd most homicides. There’s no correlation between homicide rates and gun ownership.

So why do you believe we have a gun problem?

Man Barricades Himself In Los Angeles Hospital After Mass Stabbing Attack, Police Say

Multiple victims are reportedly in critical condition at a Los Angeles area hospital after a man went on a stabbing spree before barricading himself inside.

“Reports of multiple people stabbed at Encino Hospital,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement. “The suspect is believed to be contained in a room within the hospital. There is a large police presence.”

All the victims are medical staff—one doctor and two nurses—and are believed to be in critical condition, and have been transported to a trauma center.
