Do I need to put you under the Braves fan or if not then which team?

I’m an ex diehard Braves fan. Dale Murphy was my childhood hero. I still have a signed Murph glove. Been many times to the old Fulton Co Stadium as a kid and then to Turner Field and now SunTrust/Truist Park. The Battery development is outstanding and long gone are the days you hoped not to get mugged walking to your car after games at the former parks. When MLB got all political by removing the All Star game from the ATL, I literally quit the Braves. That gives me more time for the Vols—I’m all in on the BaseVols!

I agree with @ArdentVol here. Some saw that 6’4” grown ass man frame and knew his potential was extreme.

When I walked by Phillips during the 2023 Fall HR Derby, it was hard not to see him being successful. He was huge back then even before Q. After watching him hit mammoth HRs, I wasn’t sure if it would be as a hitter or pitcher. He’s very special.

I think we kind of saw the writing on the wall. Zakai and Mashack are the last of a dying breed and he won’t ever have that type of connection with kids anymore in this environment. The moment you take something like that away from a good man like Rick Barnes is the moment they will step away. It’s sad to see.

And CRB deserves to leave on his own terms. Go enjoy life while you can. And thank you for bringing our program to where it is.
