Said it plenty of times since then, that is my favorite Vol baseball team and one of my favorite Vol teams across all sports.

it is much like my favorite Vol football team, the ‘85 Sugar Vols. Neither one won it all obviously, but both were so special and so much fun to watch.

I’ve been calling off and on for 30 years. 25 of those years I lived in states other than TN, but got to keep up with the Vols by listening and calling when I could. Over the years, naturally some of the loyal, long-time callers have passed. (Some may even know of Brady, Jeeker, Farmer Charlie, and several others). It was eerily sad when members of the “radio family“ passed away. I’ve never met most of them in person, but they feel like friends— much like OldTimer felt like a friend. Sincere condolences to his family and friends (including his VN ones).

Maybe The Dugout should be renamed OT‘s Dugout and one of his posts pinned? @Freak it might be a nice honor to one of the OGs who was universally respected and appreciated….

My first game in 2 decades was Max Ferguson’s walk-off vs Arkansas. This was first weekend that LNS was fully open during the pandemic. I. Was. Hooked.

Seems like a good time for an oral history of how the dugout came to be. My recollection is that OT initiated a thread for posting of pictures and general discussion, including topics such as "girls of schools (no nudity or anything close)." @MAD also requested that TN_gal create a thread called the dugout (I think Mad didn't just create this himself because he was being too humble) for banter, but I think mostly to have a place to continue discussion after the glorious 21 season ended. Then, OT in all his wisdom merged these two threads into one juggernaut of mischief.
