Ole miss has two unranked losses

Kinda goes both ways. Ole Miss lost to Kentucky who we beat soundly. They're other loss was to LSU. We beat Fla & Bama who both beat LSU soundly.
I wouldn’t call a 28-18 win over a team we were favored to beat by 17.5 a “sound” beating.

Man, the game was never in doubt. All announcers and sec network we’re talking about the score looked closer than it was. I can cherry pick a game like that for everybody. Mississippi lost at home to Kentucky, Georgia beat them 13-12. I could give you one for every team but it wouldn’t probably get through to you. WINS, that is what is important.

Pick a better word, then. A “sound” beating is what Georgia did to us after the first quarter.

They beat both of the teams that beat us soundly.
Yep. Bottom line is that our resume just won't get it done. We had our chances and wet the bed....twice. No one to blame but ourselves. We simply don't deserve or belong in the playoffs. Just another typical Heupel team and performance. Fans better get used to it. These same issues and complaints swirled around him at UCF.

We would beat them by double digits in knoxville
I'm not so sure. Ole Miss plays with an edge that we just don't have. They'll take a punch and give 2 back. That's not UT under Heupel. Isn't it just a little concerning that at UCF Heupel won early with Frost's recruits and did the same early at UT with Hooker, TIllman, etc? But now we seem to be struggling with the kids Heupel's crew has recruited? Coincidence?

We haven’t looked good since NC State. That’s a fact and the committee knows it

There is a good degree of truth to this. Maybe a better way to say it is we haven’t played a complete game much at all this year.

That said, I think Kirby hit the nail on the head in the post game interview with Holly. He said we don’t know what the committee is looking for. None of us do. And frankly the lack of metrics on how they make decisions or if there are the transparency around them is problematic.

Whose recruits is he winning with now? You see how crazy you sound. What was his best record with others recruits, and what is his record now?

Ole Miss is in over us because their losses were earlier in the year than ours and they had that impressive win over Georgia.

Had we beat Alabama 28-10 instead of 24-17 and Florida by 2-3 TDs, perhaps we would have more of an argument.

It is controversial and I think Tennessee has an argument but I can see the logic in picking Ole Miss. Let's hope Florida beats them and this conversation ends.
