Ole Miss self imposes post season ban

Logan Young paid Thompson to send Kindal Moorehead to Alabama as well. Memphis was a cesspool in the 90's. Bamawriter likes to complain about Fulmer's cooperation with the NCAA on here but what was he supposed to do? Let Bama buy our in-state players? He had to put a stop to it.

Logan Young tried to get the entire Melrose quartet (Moorehead, David Paine, Cedrick Wilson, and Andre Lott) to go to Bama. We didn't complain too bad about Moorehead since we got Lott and Wilson.

As I have said from the beginning of this thread, this is a Saban/Emmert/SEC connection. That was not there in the 90's.

This is irrespective of the actual school. Would Saban be at UT now we would be benefitting.

Mostly, losing to Vandy would be coming to a screeching halt.

You bring so much to this board...and our lives. :huggy:

He does bring one thing.
Every time there's an arrest or "iffy" business involving Alabama, I look forward to his 500 posts explaining how it's all wrong and misconstrued.

We get so carried away on this board at times, I need a reminder that we're not the most delusional fan base in the country.

I'm not talking about Fulmer's memos to the SEC. I'm not even suggesting the Fulmer was the first to report anything on Alabama.

Fulmer actively cooperated with the NCAA's investigators, specifically Rich Johanningmeier and Tommy Culpepper. Their reports to the NCAA detail interviews with a redacted witness who turned out to be Fulmer.

I am not arguing that Bama didn't deserve their sanctions. I'm not saying Bama did nothing wrong. They absolutely did. But it is baffling to me that you're trying to pretend that Fulmer didn't assist the investigation. Why would you even have a problem with it?

You didn't answer my last question- did Roy Kramer work with TN to nail AL with the NCAA?

I am proud he was involved. Not being able to get the top players in our state to even visit Knoxville during that time was frustrating. He reported the information he had involving the situation to the NCAA as they requested and per the rules.

And by the way, Culpepper was the recruiting dude.

Fulmer spoke to the NCAA as a secret witness. How do you want that hair to be split?

Every coach in the SEC knew bammer was cheating, common knowledge. The ncaa followed the smoke,if you wanna place blame , blame the bammer staff. Blaming Fulmer alone is total BS.

Fulmer was bidding as well. The orange hypocrite was on his own personal mission. And the past 10 years of beatdowns on the vols is all about where Alabama puts the blame. Fulmer's inability to get elected dog catcher in the coaching ranks is where others put the blame. My guess is the civil days of this rivalry is far behind us.

He may have. But if they were looking to nail Bama, Bama was all too willing to give them a hammer.

I think it's certainly possible that Kramer greased the skids on the Tee Martin deal.

You're not really answering it, but you're indicating that you do believe it. I asked because your mindset represents the level of BAMA hysteria. I live in AL and seen it first hand. It's so sad. An extremely WELL RESPECTED leader of the conference would want to bring down a member school??? Why? You, and all the fanatical AL fans would say- 'because he's from TN' But he didn't attend TN. He went to school in Michigan. It's totally crazy and totally typical of the fanaticism of AL fans. This is why the lawyers played the media in AL during the NCAA investigation, and the clueless jury awarded the plaintiffs $60 million, which of course was overturned. I get it. All Alabama can claim is a good college football team. That's all you have. What else can you look to? It's your whole world. It's why you poison trees when you lose. Sad.

You are wanting to project an opinion onto me that I simply don't hold. If you want to claim that Roy Kramer never acted in UT's best interest, I don't care enough to argue against you. Think what you want. It's 15 years later, no one who was or wasn't involved is currently associated with the SEC, and nothing that happened has any effect on 2017. If you want me to care more about it, then I'm sorry to disappoint you.

He's been saying throughout the thread that Bama deserved the punishment.

Bammer cheated big time you twerp . You bammers seem to have forgotten the dark ages leading up to the saban hire. Fuller was 11-3 vs the crimson turds. :the_finger: Buck Fama and their A-Hole fans. :wavey:

Their boarda do suck. Plus the gumps are idiots. Can't blame Writer for hanging out with us. He also has bragging rights. So it is a win/win for him.

Shouldnt be shocking their boards suck. After all, the #1 dating site in Alabama is Ancestry.com.

You have absolutely zero evidence to prove this. There is however, plenty of evidence that Fulmer avoided dealing with the recruitments of Albert Means, Kindal Moorehead and David Paine because their high school coaches were on the take. He made sure it was on the record with the recruiting services at the time, that those recruits did not hold offers from Tennessee. At the time that Fulmer turned Alabama in for the Means/Lang/Kirk fiasco, Tennessee had beaten Alabama 6 years in a row so it wasn't exactly sour grapes.

Speaking of the dark ages, you and butch enjoy your decade long losing streak. Or as we like to call it, fulmer's karma.

It really is sad this is all you guys have and your irrational obsession with Fulmer.

Congrats on your program success. The rest of the SEC only asks that you guys tone down killing things and people when you lose.

You are childish. Fulmer's karma? The concept of accountability is lost on most Bama fans. They never mention Mike Dubose, Ronnie Cottrell or Logan Young. Whether or not they were even guilty is immaterial. Someone had the nerve to turn them in for blatantly cheating.

Kind of make you feel warm all over to know that 10essee hasn't been the reason for BAMA to have to tone it down?
