Omari needs to be suspended (he apologizes)

That doesn't represent the organization well. People that don't represent organizations positively should be gone. That is the way life is. My take won't change. Call him a kid if you want, but then in the same breath tell me that they should be paid representatives of the school.

Soon as that fan stepped onto that field with a bunch of pissed off linemen, it’s fair game from there.

The fan got off extremely easy.

A little dramatic from what is supposedly a grown man. Actions have consequences. It’s something I take pride in instilling in my children and something this society is losing. Maybe you don’t believe in it. That’s fine. OT represents this university, and furthermore is on scholarship being paid to do so. Along with that comes more responsibility. Am I saying kick him off the team? No. Mistakes happen, myself included. But consequences do follow. Not my call either way. We will see what coach does. But I do know you’d be screaming and crying if another teams player did this to our fan(Bama). Guess you’re more of an everyone run rampant kind of guy.
You are correct. The Arkansas fan had actions (run into the Tennessee team taunting) and he got consequences. Big O didn’t seek him out. This fan did.

Run on our practice field in the middle of players and bump into them. Play stupid games and you win stupid prizes.

Just watch the first few seconds.🙄

So glad you posted I’m sure all the kick him off people will be quiet… the professional guy probably would turn the other cheek so he isn’t fired… the classes no discipline complainers would have done nothing as well I’m sure… lol

You trying to be all macho and taking up for the female gender while cutting them down in the same sentence by calling him, “Nancy” is classic.

It’s being macho to know not to push a woman? My question to you is how do you not know this or know the difference

And yet you are the one who brought it up originally in the thread saying clearly it was on your mind as intentional

So, I’m not allowed to think that it could have possibly been intentional, but hope it wasn’t? You don’t think someone can hold the possibility of something in abeyance without affirming one way or the other? I honestly think he was just trying to make a play, but he did hit him late and low, causing both a flag and injury, and then seemed to celebrate afterwards. So, yeah, a bit concerning.

Also, your response made no sense:

1. Lineman have the potential to get knee injuries on every play.
2. Therefore, there was a 0% chance that ONL’s low, late hit was intentional.
3. Anyone who disagrees doesn’t know football.

I’m sorry, but that doesn’t seem to follow.

Still dirty. And he was squarely in the pocket
It wasn't a dirty play. He was engaged with an OL and was going down when he lunged at him. I'm assuming you never played based on your response. Is it a dangerous play? Sure. Hopefully their QB is ok, but for you to just outright say it was a dirty play without knowing intent is a little short sighted.

It’s a bad look but not the same as directly hitting a girl.
Yeah .... and what was the refrain we heard about Burton? The fans shouldn't be on the field. The thing with Burton never became a story. To the contrary, writers like Pat Forde wrote lengthy editorials, just pretty much denouncing our fans for storming the field.

I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree with leaving out the “even though” statement. While as he said he should not have done it… as a whole the ridiculously stupid cancel culture in which we live people are judged and sentence without ever getting to defend themselves.in his time here Big O has been a young man of high character, we are all human and do human things and, again as he stated, this is something that shouldn’t have happened. That said, there are always two sides to every story hear people out before rendering judgment.
I’m rolling with Big O….. I bet the ‘lil hawg fan deserved it…… if for nothing else…. Being stupid

This brings up an interesting question, how do universities keep fans off the field after a big win? Fines are just dumb and does nothing

The Ark fan was obviously doing some rubbing it in your face to the UT Players, and put himself in harm's way. However, you do not retaliate with such violence. Is it Assault? Yes. Embarrassing to watch. I don't really know how I would have reacted to the punk's antics, but I'm sure I'd have wanted to stick a size 11 somewhere, and at my size and age, it would have been more than appropriate.
