Omari needs to be suspended (he apologizes)

I knew he would. Omari is a good guy who made a mistake. Maybe he gets a one game suspension or maybe not, up to Heupel. The people on here who are trashing him are virtue signaling hotheads. Other than this incident the guy has been nothing but class.

This is one of the dumbest threads ever started. And Dobbs4heisman has started a lot.

If you jump out of the stands and run into a football team (pushing and shoving) while the football team is walking to a locker room….you deserve to get crumbled.

If big O had waited in the middle of the field and was seeking player to beat up…that’s a different story.

Big O was minding his own business and waking off the field. This kid interjected himself into the situation. Ran into a group of players, started pushing his way through them, then got shoved to the ground. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Big O had nothing to apologize about but did so anyway
I also don’t care what happens between two adult men. I’m sorry the girl got collided with but that looked like an unintended consequence more than anything.

He’s a good dude. Good people screw up especially when they’re upset.

I keep having a nagging feeling we're going to hear about locker room issues before the game. I saw players (in video clips) pre-game wearing headphones and in their own little world (depicted as "lazer focused"). I am more impressed by a team that is acting up, excited, and laughing and carrying on. Not cerebral.

A bunch of drunks trespassed, threatened, and assaulted our team and you all want to punish our best defensive tackle.. Turn the lights off and out come the cockroaches. This is what happens when we recruit kids from California. I suppose Californian fans come with them.

Hell no suspension. They’re playing Florida. Fla don’t suspend anybody for conference games.

The fan had no business on the field. The school will be fined 100k.When Tennessee wins big I don’t show my ass by storming the field.Thats my donation to the University.Act like you’ve been there before.
100%. As a competitor (baseball and combat sports) I’ve never gloated in victory. It’s classless. As you said, act like you’ve been there before.

A mediocre team just whipped your ass as the no 4 team in the nation. Don’t take it out on the fans. They have a right to celebrate. Should’ve used the aggression on the field.
But running through the Tennessee team going to the lockeroom isn’t celebrating with your fans. Burton was roaming around looking for somebody to hit and he found a girl.

Sorry, OT. According to some here like EasTennVol, you lose. You must be drawn and quartered, laid upon a steel table, your flesh ground, and stuffed skin tubes as sausage, and fed to wolves. Don't feel bad, we have more than a few judgmental haters who lie in wait for the slightest misstep of players, so as to condemn them. Especially if you're not from an East Tennessee clan.
A little dramatic from what is supposedly a grown man. Actions have consequences. It’s something I take pride in instilling in my children and something this society is losing. Maybe you don’t believe in it. That’s fine. OT represents this university, and furthermore is on scholarship being paid to do so. Along with that comes more responsibility. Am I saying kick him off the team? No. Mistakes happen, myself included. But consequences do follow. Not my call either way. We will see what coach does. But I do know you’d be screaming and crying if another teams player did this to our fan(Bama). Guess you’re more of an everyone run rampant kind of guy.

Except he assaulted a female and this guy from the clip put himself in a situation where he was asking for physical contact from someone.
Is assault of a female worse than assault of a male? Take your orange glasses off, it's ridiculous

Just saw a video of fans tugging jerseys, flipping our players off(in there face) anNico got smacked in the helmet but hey Omari needs to keep his cool? lol.
I was at the game sitting around the 35 yard line row 14 behind Tennessee bench. In the final minute I and Vol fans became targets. Insluls, bumping, pushing, it really became uncomfortable as I was trying to protect my wife and the exits were clogged as the fans were staging to storm the field. I can only imagine what was thrown and done to our players.

The players have the right to walk off the field without harassed.
Anyone remember what Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did to a Celtics fan in the Boston Garden back in '84? Punched the guy's lights out.

Also, I know we were ranked #4 (absurdly so), but still, we were 9-4 last year. What are you doing storming the field?

I started to like your post but I can’t agree with your blanket stereotype of people from another region.
Otherwise agree on Omari absent any other relevant details of what else may have transpired that we couldn’t see in the “far off”video.

A Division 1 SEC Football Player putting hands on a female student whom in no way is a threat to you, is definitely worse.

I truly pity you.
That dude was a threat to a 300 pound defensive lineman? LOL okay buddy. Don't be a hypocrite just because he wears orange.

The girl a cheerleader the guy who assault them should be thrown off Tennessee football team.
or at the very least suspended.
Was the Arkansas fan a male cheerleader? @Other_Guy

You can't see much Arkansas person got close to the Tennessee player
Bogus. If you go on the field you should expect physical contact.

True. I rewatched the video and I stand corrected. Wasn’t nearly as bad as I initially thought.

He dove at the QBs knees. It was a dirty play
Absolutely not a dirty play. 100% by the rules and obviously the fastest most effective route to try an bring him down. Now unless you know the intent of his heart revealing that he intended to injure, then you are wrong. Do you have evidence of his intent to injure?
