Omari needs to be suspended (he apologizes)

That dude was a threat to a 300 pound defensive lineman? LOL okay buddy. Don't be a hypocrite just because he wears orange.

Burton was still on the field after the game was over looking for any reason to start sh*t. The female co-ed didn’t do anything.

Thomas was walking with his team to the locker room, only to have some stupid agressive fan get into his face.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The fact you even asked if a female coed getting assaulted was worse than a grown man, shows me how gullible you truly are.

Assault is assault. In the eyes of the law, gender doesn't matter. They BOTH should be suspended. If you think different, you're the problem.

I would be fine with him losing 1st quarter playing time against Florida. It would be more punishment than Saban did to Burton which was nothing at all. Burton hit the girl cause he was scared according to Saban.

ONL also had that questionable low hit on Green that injured him. I really hope that was not intentional. I want the Vols to win, but not like that.
Jesse Mahelona was an all American here with majority of his penetration of line coming from low pad leverage and squeezing between center and guard and bringing QB down by anything he could grab below waist.

A male hitting a female is 100 times worse than a male hitting a male. You either have zero awareness of the difference between a male and a female or you have some weird rejection syndrome and just hate women.

You fight a man and move on. You hit a woman in front of a real man and you won’t move for a while.

I started to like your post but I can’t agree with your blanket stereotype of people from another region.
Otherwise agree on Omari absent any other relevant details of what else may have transpired that we couldn’t see in the “far off”video.

That’s fair. I wish I didn’t live in a city where people from that state are moving, but here I am.

Did you all go off the grid during basketball season where Duke’s 7 foot lottery pick took a knee injury to a fan rushing the court? I am closer to size with a 10 year old than that student was to the basketball player.

I think my memory is pretty crappy, but some of you act like you were born yesterday when you allow your emotions to out pace your rational.

How can you be that stupid to run right through the losing team. The world has become full of people who can semi function in society yet have no ability to think for themselves.

I cannot imagine being a fan on the field after a game and walking into the opposing team as they are grouped up and trying to exit the field, especially after they lost. I would not do that. This is not a defense of the player who shoved him. That is a bad look, but I doubt the guy would have gotten shoved for saying, "Good game." If he was dumb enough to walk into a group of our players, he might have been dumb enough to say something that got himself shoved. He was not even supposed to be anywhere on the field.

"Stupid actions have consequences," except for Omari Thomas apparently who deserves no repercussions for his behavior?

Should the player have shoved the fan? No, but I also think that the fan was the aggressor in the situation and should share in responsibility for it. The fan deliberately went out of his way to force the encounter, while the player was minding his own business while making his correct way off the field, without bothering anybody.

I literally said in the eyes of the law, calm down bud.

Anyone remember what Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did to a Celtics fan in the Boston Garden back in '84? Punched the guy's lights out.

Also, I know we were ranked #4 (absurdly so), but still, we were 9-4 last year. What are you doing storming the field?
Yeah i remember but that didn't happen. If your an Arkansas fan you need something to cheer for.

Absolutely not a dirty play. 100% by the rules and obviously the fastest most effective route to try a bring him down. Now unless you know the intent of his heart revealing that he intended to injure, then you are wrong. Do you have evidence of his intent to injure?
Yes. Watch the replay.

A little dramatic from what is supposedly a grown man. Actions have consequences. It’s something I take pride in instilling in my children and something this society is losing. Maybe you don’t believe in it. That’s fine. OT represents this university, and furthermore is on scholarship being paid to do so. Along with that comes more responsibility. Am I saying kick him off the team? No. Mistakes happen, myself included. But consequences do follow. Not my call either way. We will see what coach does. But I do know you’d be screaming and crying if another teams player did this to our fan(Bama). Guess you’re more of an everyone run rampant kind of guy.
Why are still trying to argue with me about this? Here's some advice:
I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.”

--Fritz Perls-

That doesn't represent the organization well. People that don't represent organizations positively should be gone. That is the way life is. My take won't change. Call him a kid if you want, but then in the same breath tell me that they should be paid representatives of the school.

There’s a reason the SEC fines schools $100K when their students rush the playing field / court. I’m from a different generation I guess, but I have enough sense to not interfere with a losing team exiting the field as nothing good can come of me tangling with a 300 lb disappointed athlete. You snowflakes that think these players are supposed to be as calm as your grandmother at the end of a heated athletic competition are living in a dream world. The fan initiated the contact and only got shoved in return and should count himself lucky. If I’m CJH nothing happens to Thomas. I address the team and us it as a precautionary learning moment. Now if Thomas had punched someone then it a different story. JMO, TIFWIW

Fans stay OFF the f-ing field and this NEVER happens. Some jackass fan runs up on me and I may have done the same thing. Rushing the field is STOOPID, immature, and plain dangerous.

I don't care what they do about it. After the way the SEC Commish couldn't disconnect his xxxxx from Saban's xxxx long enough to challenge that pathetic "he was cared" excuse and actually do something about it, they no longer have moral authority. I'll just let Josh handle it however he sees fit, and I'll be fine.
