Kruger has been to one final four and 2 elite 8's. Hardly elite. And Pearl's record is still better than Krugers. You can't argue it. Facts are facts.

I'll take the opinions of their peers and the fact that Kruger took Kansas State and Florida to the Elite Eight and the Final Four while The Good Ship Lollipop run by Bruce Pearl is already taking on water in year four.

Yes. A 9-3 record with a win over a top 10 team and a top 25 team sure is taking on water. Espeially since 6 people on the team (half) are new faces and we lost our two leading scorers.

That's real progress in your fourth year. Maybe if he didn't bring in the Marques Johnsons and Tony Passleys of the world and recruited actual basketball players with those scholarships, he wouldn't be in this spot.

I'll agree with that.

Although this is what happens and you should know this as well as anyone. Basketball teams have up and down years. We're lucky to have our 'down year' be a year in which we likely make it to the NCAA tournament, and could possibly make it to the sweet 16 with a favorable match up.

No grilling is forthcoming. One of my resolutions for '09 was to assume anyone who posts emoticons instead of punctuation is five years old, retarded, or both. I'm not going to take the time to wallow in their intellectual gutter.

Hat reminds me of the grounds crew for the Cleveland Indians in the movie Major League. Even after they pulled into first place, cuts to the grounds crew raking the mound commenting "these guys are still sh***y". I also recall during the recruitment of Hopson last year Hat stated if we land Hopson and Tyler returns, Final Four you can mark it down. I have read these forums for over a year and I thought my first post should stir the pot a little!!!:lolabove:

nick...I think BP is the best thing to happen to UT bball in a long long time. I'm just trying to see things from hats viewpoint. I can't though. I'm new here. I'll go back to the fball recruiting boards and leave the bball bashing alone. I'll be sure to stay away from the sidewalks tommorrow too. Go Big Orange.

You know what amazes me? Is for years when I would come to knoxville for football games or just visit going to gatlinburg, no one gave a rats a$$ about men's basketball or even cared it existed. Now, after 3 20+ win seasons, this is looking like a Kentucky chat board. If Pearl fails,?, or leaves, who would we get then? Either one of those scenarios would truly show that UT is a coaching graveyard with a building full of wasted steel, concrete, and a 3 million dollar LED scoreboard. lighten up!!!! This isn't football!!! a loss here and there, in the regular season, doesn't destroy a season!!! Unless, for me, it's UK.... This team IS, I repeat, IS new as a group. It'll get there give it time. Just remember folks, this is a guy (CBP), that took the same exact team that was 14-17 a year earlier and went 22-8 with an SEC east title! There is nowhere but up!!! Big game tomorrow against Gonzaga tomorrow will show if our team has learned anything from Kansas. Georgia Saturday, then, the game that means the most to me next Tuesday. I was 28 rows up in the Louisville student section when Sosa drained it in UK's mouth!!!! Anyway, CHILL OUT!!!!!!!!
