I agree 100% with you, you have every right to question them... You also made some excellent points... Let me throw in that it doesn't mean that you dis-like them or that you don't believe in them simply because you question certain things they do.. As I said you are 100% correct you have the right to do it especially if you are a huge Big Orange fan as your are.... The only thing I can't figure out is why you get on to me when I do it...:)

At this point, Scroggins and Brunetti are the only two available that have the WOW factor (decent ranking) to lure other recruits. Of course, that may all change Monday. Rivals will release shuffled rankings and the QB rankings will really change. Won't be last change either

Playing or not playing QB at UF is meaningless. It's not a pro-style offense.

The specs of an athlete that would makes athletes say "Wow."
Ht: 6-foot-6
Wt: 247 lbs
Forty: 4.53 secs
Bench max: 335 pounds
Squat max: 455 pounds
Vertical: 38 inches
Shuttle: 4.41 secs
Class: 2010 (Junior College - Dec Grad)

This guy is NFL bound. Players like to play with NFL-bound teammates. Whether he plays QB or something else... just doesn't matter. His specs are simply.... "Wow!"

His getting kicked off the team is trivial as well.

He's only got 2 years left to play in D-1 after this year in JUCO, and so far he hasn't really learned a whole lot to get him to the next level. As far as wow goes, I don't think he's a wow guy or anyone that any of these recruits can relate to that are in the 2010 class. If he was 1 year removed from HS, then I might somewhat agree, but he's going to be out of HS for 3 years after this season. He's not exactly wowed anyone really.

Nobody expects anyone to take playing time from Tebow at UF. Not fair.

The folks who say wow to athletes like this draw big paychecks. HS players should take note.

Also, the 2010 class doesn't have much wow in it at QB. They only need to feel confident the team is fine until they can play. The wow guy can come with the 2011 class.

I've seen a lot of O-Line prospects that look the part and have the measureables never do anything in college. Measureables do matter to a degree, but not as much as Football IQ and coachability.

The laptop doesn't have anything to do with what I am saying here. I'm talking about on the field IQ, and especially in the type of offense we play here. He's NEVER been in a pro-style offense and no one here can make a case for him, unless you point out his measureables. Trust me, I was there but after thinking it through, he doesn't fit unless we are running a hybrid spread type offense. I don't think that a lot of people are thinking we are going to run tOSU's offense, which would be a great offense for him to be in.

Surely, you're not going to start that point about how complicated it is to go under the center again.

What evidence do you have that he doesn't have a good football IQ? PM would not have taken PT from Urban's boy.

He's also had classroom problems from what I have heard. He's just too much of a project to take for us at this point.

I don't mean to be in this camp that keeps pissing everyone off, but I do wish we would have just kept Taj. His knee would be fine now by the time these kids sign, so don't give me that stuff.

Actually, I think it's CLK's only miscalculation so far. I can accept he is human and will make mistakes, but if we don't point them out here, who will? Bammers?

He couldn't have foreseen that 6 months later, he would still be looking for a QB. As they say, hindsight is 20/20.

I think there might have been a bit of a miscalclation about how hard it might be to get a west coast kid to Knoxville, even with a good shot at early playing time. It's a long way to go and if having your family see you play is a consideration, well that makes it tougher.

Maybe he didn't know at the time that almost all of the talented QBs in this class were on the West Coast. Just throwing it out there.

Whatever the case, Scroggins has played this well. I expect that over the next 10 days HCK will be making the case for UT. We've got no offers out there... you're our man, we aren't looking at anybody else and it will be a full court press. I can't think of anything that would make CK happier than pulling one from PC, we'll see.
