Basically someone corrected a word incorrectly, and much like the great Rod Wilks, the joke has snowballed. It makes sense.

Why not? isn't it your intention to find one article that supports your claim and spin that into Scotty is as big a self promoting hype machine as Terrell Owens? And somehow he deserves all the ridicule and belittlement you can throw his way? From everything I have seen he is a good kid that plays basketball as good as he can. It all goes back to my original question? Who's Hype is this kid not living up to?

He definitely believed himself to be one and done material while he was getting big praise from the Scout and Rivals silliness. He definitely dogs it at times on the floor and sulks when he is struggling. Very long, good athlete, can make tough shots and can do much more than he does. Has done little to improve his handle, which is what so limits his offensive game. He gets a handle, he'll likely live up to top 10 recruit status, but the lack of care is an issue as well (I assume coaching can deal with that more effectively than Green did with Yarbrough).

Oh so it is funny to correct a word incorrectly when the guy spelled it right and used it in the correct context to start out with.I get it.Not.

Someone did it seriously awhile back. Everyone made fun of him. Doing it now is more like just adding to the mockery. Yes, it's funny.

Who is trying to spin Scotty into a self-promoting hype machine? I certainly am not. I like Scotty. I despise T.O.
I am not throwing ridicule his way.

Scotty did hype himself to a degree by stating he is a one and one. However, your bolded statement above could not be farther from the truth. Scotty at times plays up to his potential. Many times he does not. Improving his Dribbling will improve his game immenseley. I'm sure the coaching staff has made that a priority for Scotty.

You, my friend, are the one spinning this topic into something it is not.
